Episode 33: PPC Digi Monday - Mushrooms

This weeks challenge over at the Paper Playtime Challenge is 'Anything Goes!'  Seriously!  Any project that you create this week submit it over there.  We have several digital stamp companies that are sponsoring this challenge so there will be several prizes given.  How exciting!

I created a mixed card.  I used the digital stamp from Digital Delights by Louby Lou and a Cricut cut.  The digital stamp is part of the Little Red Riding Hood stamp set.  If you go over to the Paper Playtime blog you'll see how it was intended to be used.  I only used the mushrooms, enlarged them, colored them and cut them out.  I then cut the butterfly from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge to go on the card.  I like how it turned out.  A lot of dimension.  I colored in the mushrooms w/ my colored Sharpies.  They blend pretty well.

Card Recipe:

Episode 32: FIF Puppy/Cat Magnet Board

This weeks Flaunt it Friday's challenge is to use the Paper Pups border that has the dog and cat looking at each other (I think p. 104 in the handbook).  You need to use this cut or something similar to the cut in a paper project and submit it by Thursday, Feb 3rd to be eligible for the monthly prize.

I made a project this week that wasn't a card.  I know *GASP*!!!  ;)  I made a magnet board from scratch.  I show how I did it in the video.  It was a lot of fun to make and I love the look of it.  I'm definitely making myself one soon.

The Paper Pups cut is a silhouette.  So to make the back layer I hid the inside of the dog and cat w/ my Gypsy and then cut out the image once again.  I made the magnets with my I-Top.  And they are some strong magnets too!

Card Recipe:
Paper Pups Cricut Cartridge
Imaginisce I-Top tool and 28mm i-Top Magnet Daddies
Chipboard (size 8 1/2 x 8 1/2)
26 Guage sheet metal from Home Depot (original size: 12"x18" from Home depot) cut at 7 1/2" x 7"
Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse Saddle Stitched ribbon and cardstock
Colorbox Bright Florals designer paper (Got at Walmart)

Episode 31: MPS Design Team - Caterpillar Love

Today is the My Pink Stampers Design Team Day!  Woo Hoo!!!  :)  The theme that we created our projects after is "Pink & Love".  Perfect for Valentines Day that is coming up.  That is the theme that I went with for my card.  I used two of her stamp sets for the messages on the balloons, Love-alicious and Simply Sweet Occasions.  Just like those candy heart messages, love it!  :D  It's kind of hard to see in the image but he is holding a heart balloon in each of his hands.  Boy was it hard to get that string around his little nubby arms.  lol  It worked out in the end.   :)

Be sure to head on over to Robyn's blog to see what she and the other design team members made.

Card Recipe:
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge for the caterpillar and heart balloons
Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter Faces stamp set size Large

SU! Small heart punch
Martha Stewart grass border punch

Episode 27: My Pink Stamper Blog Hop

Welcome to the My Pink Stamper's Blog Hop!  If you are here from Meesh's Pieces with Michelle you are in the right place.  If you have come straight to my place and would like to start at the beginning go to My Pink Stamper's blog.

First a little about me:  I have been crafting for more than 5 years but I've only had my Cricut machine a little over a year.  I started my blog in November 2009.  I was so excited when I had 4 followers.  I knew 3 of them but I had one I didn't know and it thrilled me for weeks!  :)  I tried out to be on the first My Pink Stampers design team in March 2010 and made it.  This was the highlight of my crafting world.  :)  When I saw that she had another open design team call I knew I wanted to try out for it again.  It was a wonderful experience working with her and getting to know others in the crafting world.  I wasn't expecting to be on the team again since I was on it before so I was shocked and THRILLED when I heard my name announced last week.

My crafting "expertise" are cards.  Although, I have challenged myself to make other projects this year so come back often to see if I have finally accepted that challenge.  ;)  Some personal info: I'm 36, single, and live in Utah.  I have two puppies that I just adore, Tavis & Kyla.  I am going to school full time and I work full time.  If you have any questions or would like to see something specific let me know.  My email address is on the top left side of my blog.

For my project I chose to do a card (shocker!).  ;)  It's a birthday card for a friends daughter who loves the 50's, pink & purple, and anything shiny or w/ bling.

If you would like to see how I made the card, including the flocking on the purse, you can watch my video here:

*I normally like my videos between 5-7 minutes but I was showing different techniques in this one so it was longer than I wanted.

I am giving away 2 Hampton Art flocking sets for my blog candy.  To be eligible please leave a comment on this post with a way to get a hold of you.  You do not need to be a follower of my blog to win.  Only 1 entry per person.  You have until Monday, January 17th, 10pm MST to make a comment.  I'll announce the winner on Tuesday, Jan 18th.

Thank you so much for hopping a long with us today.  I've had so much fun working w/ Robyn again and the new Pink Designers.
