Last week was my nephews birthday. He is a catcher on his baseball team and he loves it. I really try and make my birthday cards for my nieces and nephews focused on their likes. I searched online for quite a while looking for the perfect saying to go with a catchers mask and found the message I used. I have no idea on who came up with the message but it was just what I needed. :)<br />

He is such a great guy and I wanted a card to portray his awesomeness. :) He can be very suave, so funny, cute, and beyond a nice guy. I saw this man image and thought it was perfect for him.

This is a flat card, nothing bumpy, so would be a great mailer card.<br />

Today is the cookie card challenge. It's a time where I get to have inspiration from my cousins cookies and make a card based off of them. When I saw these <b>ADORABLE</b> burlap bunny cookies I knew I had to choose them for my inspiration. You can see her blog post on these cookies <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2016/03/how-to-make-decorated-burlap-bunny.html">HERE</a></u></b>.
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RZrLPE-s_Dw/Vuiw42GffMI/AAAAAAAAMnA/TKEgZlnjyakRZOL07HpaFEwKslqsOarHw/s1600/Burlap1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RZrLPE-s_Dw/Vuiw42GffMI/AAAAAAAAMnA/TKEgZlnjyakRZOL07HpaFEwKslqsOarHw/s320/Burlap1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I do have to say that my card is definitely not as cute as those cookies but I tried. :) The following is my card:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M57Pt_foKfo/VuixhDlqX8I/AAAAAAAAMnI/O8Z52nZHjuY3F-onEuLgvOq4MUibnyA-A/s1600/IMG_1255.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M57Pt_foKfo/VuixhDlqX8I/AAAAAAAAMnI/O8Z52nZHjuY3F-onEuLgvOq4MUibnyA-A/s640/IMG_1255.JPG" width="456" /></a></div>
<br />
I wish I would have made the burlap a little longer but that's OK. It still turned out cute.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Sorry for the late post but I guess better late than never. :) It's that time of the month where I choose one of her cookies to try and recreate into a card and she makes a cookie based off of one of my cards. I saw this super cute cookie that I thought would be perfect for my dad's Valentine's card. You can see her post <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2011/01/photo-booth.html">HERE</a></u></b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BgxqIb4AFQc/Vr1eQW3kvII/AAAAAAAAMmU/oqt0z3IdN3k/s1600/Photo%2BBooth.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BgxqIb4AFQc/Vr1eQW3kvII/AAAAAAAAMmU/oqt0z3IdN3k/s400/Photo%2BBooth.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
She called them Photo Booth Cookies and I just loved the different ways the hearts are placed. Here is my card based off of those cookies:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fkvLy027Shg/Vr1eXB37loI/AAAAAAAAMmc/WeU50frl7b0/s1600/dad%2Bvday%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fkvLy027Shg/Vr1eXB37loI/AAAAAAAAMmc/WeU50frl7b0/s640/dad%2Bvday%2B1.JPG" width="636" /></a></div>
<br />
So funny note on that random dark dot on the white heart. I grabbed my red pen (according to the red cap) and made a dot. It was green. The red cap was on the green pen and vice versa. What's funny about this is I knew immediately who did it. My nephew Cole likes to use my markers and pens and he is Red/Green color blind. :) It runs in the family. My grandpa, brother and 4 of my nephews are Red/Green color blind. So I've run across this before. :) So he thought he put them on correctly because he couldn't tell the difference. It was really funny and now there is a cute story to go w/ the card. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Today is the Cookie Card Challenge. I was looking through Georgeanne's cookie blog, <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">LilaLoa</a></u></b>, trying to decide on a cookie to remake into a card. I decided on a Valentines theme because I am already over Winter. I am definitely looking forward to a little warmer weather and a color other than grey. :) Plus, my favorite color is Red so it was a no brainer for me. :)<br />
<br />
Here is the cookie that I chose to recreate. I'm not going to lie, I can't remember if I've already recreated this one before or not but it spoke to me so I didn't care. lol You can find her blog post on these cookies <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2011/01/welcome-back-fondant.html">HERE</a></u></b>.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jaqdX8PKCiY/Vpck_7Tw1BI/AAAAAAAAMlE/hE4xU-GUwsA/s1600/Heart%2BBoquet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jaqdX8PKCiY/Vpck_7Tw1BI/AAAAAAAAMlE/hE4xU-GUwsA/s400/Heart%2BBoquet.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is the card that I made. It's a long card which works perfectly with this design. My only thing I wish I changed is adding more stems and having them more "loose" looking. But all in all I love it. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h7M_WKq71uE/Vpcl7KndsXI/AAAAAAAAMlQ/Bsez5UMOzNU/s1600/FullSizeRender-6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h7M_WKq71uE/Vpcl7KndsXI/AAAAAAAAMlQ/Bsez5UMOzNU/s640/FullSizeRender-6.jpg" width="330" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the DCWV glitter yardstick. It is so shiny and pretty. :) Here is a side view:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QJaVN7ldiNw/Vpcl7KQAG3I/AAAAAAAAMlg/apNRvI4Fz-I/s1600/FullSizeRender-7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QJaVN7ldiNw/Vpcl7KQAG3I/AAAAAAAAMlg/apNRvI4Fz-I/s640/FullSizeRender-7.jpg" width="326" /></a></div>
<br />
I also added a frame and heart in the inside:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bY1C9G-pyLk/Vpcl7PsrxyI/AAAAAAAAMlY/J6LuBCFUZME/s1600/FullSizeRender-5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bY1C9G-pyLk/Vpcl7PsrxyI/AAAAAAAAMlY/J6LuBCFUZME/s640/FullSizeRender-5.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />

Today is the Cookie Card Challenge. This is where I got permission to steal a design from my cousins cookie blog, <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">LilaLoa</a></u></b>, to help me design a card and vice versa. :) <br />
<br />
The cookies that I have based my card off of are these adorable mitten cookies. You can find her blog post <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2015/12/decorated-winter-mitten-cookies.html">HERE</a></u></b> on how she made them.<br />

Today I made a card off of some cookies my cousin made. <br />
<br />
So what makes this a Special birthday card? The cookies I chose are from the <b>COVER</b> of her <b>COOKIE BOOK</b>!!! How <b>AWESOME</b> is that???? Here is the cover:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RMMHLsLQDFk/VkQa4ha9FuI/AAAAAAAAMjE/IHDomDsOTg4/s1600/Cookie%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RMMHLsLQDFk/VkQa4ha9FuI/AAAAAAAAMjE/IHDomDsOTg4/s320/Cookie%2B1.jpg" width="249" /></a></div>
<br />
You can also buy her book, which is a Top 5 cookie book w/ Amazon by the way, on her blog: <a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">http://www.lilaloa.com</a><br />
<br />
Here is the card that I made off of those cookies:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rcv_k2x1C2E/VkQbILp78TI/AAAAAAAAMjI/QKxHlSW_nts/s1600/FullSizeRender.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rcv_k2x1C2E/VkQbILp78TI/AAAAAAAAMjI/QKxHlSW_nts/s640/FullSizeRender.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Boxypw6SdBc/VkQbNxJ8ZBI/AAAAAAAAMjM/yVJFPwlAlZU/s1600/FullSizeRender-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Boxypw6SdBc/VkQbNxJ8ZBI/AAAAAAAAMjM/yVJFPwlAlZU/s400/FullSizeRender-2.jpg" width="390" /></a></div>
<br />
It's a simple card but I thought turned out cute. I still feel like there is still too much white space but I didn't know what else to add. Maybe I should have chosen a designer paper for the background instead of all white. Next time... :)<br />

If you aren't familiar with this challenge I choose one of my cousins cookies, <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">LilaLoa</a></u></b>, to make a card off of and she chooses one of my paper craft projects to make a cookie.
The following are the cookies I'm making my card off of. I just love the wavy lines, colors, and spaces in between everything. It's a classy looking pumpkin. You can find more about her post <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2012/09/go-bo.html">HERE</a></u></b>.

<br />
<center style="text-align: left;">
Here is the card that I made based on those cute pumpkins. It's a simple card but it's perfect for a friend, neighbor, etc type of card. I used a banner cut to slice the pumpkin in two so it would have the curve like her pumpkin cookies.</center>

Today is the Cookie Card Challenge! My favorite crafting day of the month. I love it because it helps me to craft each month. :) I saw some awesome Summer cookies that <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">LilaLoa</a></u></b> made and fell in love w/ the daisies in a mason jar cookie. So cute! I thought they would be perfect for a thank you, friend, thinking of you type of card. <br />
<br />
Here is my interpretation of that cookie. It was pretty simple but I love the simplicity of them because they are the perfect for the whatever occasion card. <br />
<br />

Today <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">LilaLoa </a></u></b>and I are doing our Cookie Card Challenge. I chose the following Daffodil cookies to make a paper project off of. They are so pretty and I just love the dimension to them. Isn't she just amazing??? You can see her post about these cookies <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2011/04/daffodils.html">HERE</a></u></b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
I found this really pretty Daffodil in my Cricut Library. It was one flat flower w/ a shadow behind it so I cut out the main image in two different colors and paper pieced them together for my flower image. I love how this turned out. <br />
<br />
My Cricut also wrote out the Thank You for my message. I love this pen option with the new Cricut Explore machine. I hardly use my message stamps anymore because I have this feature. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I also bought a new Anna Griffith Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I usually tend for more simple designs but I wanted to try this one out and I just loved it. <br />

I couldn't find it so I'm guessing not. If I did, here it is again. :) I found the image by searching Eagle Scout Cartoon. I used the print and cut feature on my silhouette. For the background paper I searched for an image of boy scout patches. It was originally a darker image but I faded the paper. It turned out a lot better than I thought. It's simple but works perfectly.<br />

Today I wanted to share a simple graduation card I made for my sister to give her niece-in-law. What I tend to do is to use the schools colors and the mascot if I can. It makes it more personable. So the colors were a deep purple, black & white. I added the silver for a little more pizazz. The mascot is a mountain lion. I found the image I used just by Googling 'Mountain Lion Silhouette'. I meant to emboss the purple paper for extra detail but forgot. Now I feel like something is missing from it. :)<br />

No joke. I'm sure I can enter some type of cliche here. Luckily she was wearing jeans. No skin was broken but he did leave a mark. A little side note on Tavis, I found out that he came from a puppy mill and has some health problems, as well as some mental issues. He is really neurotic and nervous. We don't let him near strangers because it makes him worse. Unfortunately we were caught off guard yesterday. After he nipped at the mailwoman he ran downstairs and hid. I felt so bad for her and for Tavis. I made a card last night to plead apologies to her. She has been our mailwoman since we lived there, 10+ years. So hopefully this will put us back in her good graces. She was really nice about it yesterday and said she was alright. Fingers crossed.

Welcome to my tiny spot on the web. Today is the fun day where <b><u><a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/">LilaLoa</a></u></b>, aka Georganne, and I take inspiration off of each others work. I get to choose one of her adorable cookies and make a paper project off of that and she chooses one of my cards and makes a cookie off of that. Have to say, one of my favorite days of the month to see what she has done. :) On to the show...<br />

Today is a card I made my niece for her birthday. She loves this type of cruiser bike and got it for her birthday so I found it in the Silhouette store and had to make it. She is also on the swim team and they are The Penguins, hence the penguin in the basket. :)
<br />
<br />
This cut had a lot of pieces to it but it turned out so great! She loved it. :)<br />

Today is the Cookie Card Challenge! Well almost. Instead I'm making it the Cake Card Challenge. :) I was in the mood to make a baby card so while I was looking on Georganne's website, <a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/"><u><b>LilaLoa</b></u></a>, I saw this cutie pie cake and it inspired me to make a cutie pie card. :) You can see her post on the cake <a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2009/04/baby-boy.html"><u><b>HERE</b></u></a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aeaoLOigTCA/VKy4guTfLuI/AAAAAAAAMHI/00OgPkrPxYs/s1600/Baby%2BSleeping%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aeaoLOigTCA/VKy4guTfLuI/AAAAAAAAMHI/00OgPkrPxYs/s1600/Baby%2BSleeping%2B1.jpg" height="293" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Before I get to my card let me share some exciting news. Well, for me anyways. I got the Cricut Explore for Christmas! I'm so excited. I haven't been able to access my Cricut cartridges for about a year now I think. Now I have access to thousands of images that I purchased over years. It's been great. I've used it a couple of times now and it's really easy to use and just love the image search.<br />
<br />
Anywho, here is my card... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kdcXBPakU6c/VKy4m6sV1hI/AAAAAAAAMHg/ryIS2iS_2Ps/s1600/Baby%2BSleeping%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kdcXBPakU6c/VKy4m6sV1hI/AAAAAAAAMHg/ryIS2iS_2Ps/s1600/Baby%2BSleeping%2B2.jpg" height="510" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The stars are a light blue and I've put stickles on it. So it's coming off as diamondy instead of blueish. :) Yeah, these are words. I swear it. lol<br />

<br />
So unfortunately I don't remember all my cuts on this one. It was over a year ago that I made it. I did use my Cricut for it. I believe a lot of them are from the 'Life's a Beach' Cricut cartridge. I also used a box cut for my "card". So to make it a card I taped down one side of the lid. I used a blue cellophane for the front of my box to make that underwater look.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed all of the cards. Hopefully I'll keep up on my postings from here on out. :)<br />

I saw this adorable scarecrow scene from SVG Cutting's <a href="http://svgcuttingfiles.com/catalog.php?item=968"><u><b>website</b></u></a> and had to recreate it. :) I'm also submitting it to their Fall color challenge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Aih0gplXGIE/VBIXcPRFnlI/AAAAAAAALdk/kaF_T-8VhXE/s1600/IMG_7031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Aih0gplXGIE/VBIXcPRFnlI/AAAAAAAALdk/kaF_T-8VhXE/s1600/IMG_7031.JPG" height="626" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The sleeves are the same color as the shirt, I just used Versamarker to make it a tad darker. I did the same thing w/ the pumpkins, hat & outlined a bit on the ground. It's perfect for making some distinction between the cuts but using the same color tone. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I hand the cut the ground. Thanks for stopping by! I'm continuing on my Multi-Card Explosion tomorrow. Be sure to stop by. Also, check out my Cookie Card Challenge that I posted this morning.<br />

It's the 2nd Thursday of the month which means it's time for the <b>COOKIE CARD CHALLENGE!!!</b> :) Hello Crafters & Bakers! Today I get to use one of <a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/"><u><b>Georganne</b></u></a>'s cookie designs from her blog, <a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/"><u><b>LilaLoa</b></u></a>, and make it into a card. This month I chose these ADORABLE little baby boy cookies! You can see her post on them <a href="http://www.lilaloa.com/2014/08/decorated-bow-tie-cookies-for-little.html"><u><b>HERE</b></u></a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PBmXRAY7Mjo/VA8rJ3erUAI/AAAAAAAALcw/B_qcoLPRao0/s1600/Cookie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PBmXRAY7Mjo/VA8rJ3erUAI/AAAAAAAALcw/B_qcoLPRao0/s1600/Cookie.jpg" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Seriously! How CUTE are those cookies!!! My inspiration came from the baby bottle design w/ the little bows on them. Have I mentioned they are CUTE? :)<br />
<br />
Here is my design:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F7Yb0ijPVb8/VA8rhpbKDTI/AAAAAAAALc8/_zxM_yD0dz8/s1600/Bottle%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F7Yb0ijPVb8/VA8rhpbKDTI/AAAAAAAALc8/_zxM_yD0dz8/s1600/Bottle%2B1.JPG" height="640" width="382" /></a></div>
<br />
I wish I did better on the alignment of the words but oh well. I'm not perfect. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ymvq0NBxpVk/VA8rhq_7VAI/AAAAAAAALc4/Q2YjCy3kuq4/s1600/Bottle%2B2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ymvq0NBxpVk/VA8rhq_7VAI/AAAAAAAALc4/Q2YjCy3kuq4/s1600/Bottle%2B2.JPG" height="400" width="221" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought it was the most darling baby card so I made a girl version of them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I changed up the sticking up cuts to images I found through Free Google searching. All the images have to deal w/ my nieces likes. I also made one for my nephew but forgot to take a pic of that one. Wish I did, I loved it too. I created a pocket on the inside for some moola for them. <br />

<br />
So back story on this one. There is a joke in our family where we have an iceberg in our head and only so many penguins (memories) can fit on it. So sometimes we need to chuck off a penguin so a new penguin can get on it. I made this card for someone that has troubles w/ Algebra. He finally passed his college class so I gave him this card and told him to chuck the penguin off, he is no longer needed! :)<br />
