Happy Mother's Day!

Hello Crafters! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Mine was nice and relaxing, hung out with the family. Then my two dogs ate a whole large bag of Peanut M&M's. It was a gift to my mom from my brother. I'm sure I'll be up tonight with some sick dogs. Fingers crossed it's not too bad.

This is the card that I made for my mom.  I made a shape card based off the main front image.  What I did was use the shadow cut of that image and joined it together to make the shape card.  I then cut out the original cut w/ all of the inside cuts hid to make it a solid cut.  That is the white cut on the card.  I cut out the main image in green and another one in purple.  Then I cut out just the flower by hand from the purple cut.  Hopefully that made some sense.  I should have made a video on it but I made it pretty quickly.  :)

Have a great week and Thanks for stopping by!  :)

Elegant Thank You

Hi Crafters! Today Glora and I are doing our Cricut Cut Challenge. This month I chose the birdcage cut from the Straight from the Nest Cricut Cartridge.  It's been a while since I used this cartridge so I wanted to pull it out and use it.  Saw this birdcage and thought that it might be a challenge to alter it as I kinda like to do.

So I decided to make a square card and enlarge the cut.  For some reason I love doing this and I have a tendency to do it as well.  Here is my card...

I cut the size at 9" and my card is 5"x5".  The patter paper is from the DCWV Linen Closet paper pack.  I loved the colors in this paper pack, soft and elegant.

I had cut out two birds just in case and so I had an extra one and decided to decorate the backside of the envelope w/ it.  It's kind of hard to see on the picture.

Make sure you head on over to Glora's blog to see what she made with this cut.  She's my favorite crafter.  I want to be like her when I grow up.  I LOVE the way she completes a card.   :)

Bow Tie Cookie Card

Hi Crafters and Bakers! One of my favorite days of the month is here! It's time for the Cookie/Card Challenge I do w/ my cousin, Georganne. She has a FABULOUS cookie/cake blog called LilaLoa. Her designs are fabulous and her writing is amazing. I wish I had her skill w/ words. :) With this challenge I get to take one of her cookie designs and make a craft project with it and she will take one of my paper projects and turn it into a cookie!

Here are her cookies that inspired my paper creation.  You can see her post HERE.

I just LOVE her bright colors and those are just the cutest bow ties.  You have to see her blog on how she made those little men.  She made them w/ a bell cookie cutter!  Anywho, here is my take on it:

I thought I could use this for a graduation card or something like that.  To make the elongated neck basically cut out a long thin rectangle and put it behind a shirt from Paper Doll Dress Up and a large head.  The head and shirt are cut at 9.9".

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to go to Georgeanne's blog to see what she made off of one of my paper projects.  :)

I'd Choose You All Over Again...

I realized that I forgot to get this post together yesterday. :) This is a great anniversary card. I actually made it for my sis-in-law to give to my brother on Valentines Day. I refused to use red. Wasn't in the mood for it. lol :) I think it actually has a softer feel to it w/ this color.

It was super simple. Just cut this image, silhouette only, and done! No piecing together a million cuts, which I don't have the patience for.  :)  I used my computer/printer for the saying.  She found the saying on Pinterest.

Cute As a Button!

Hi Crafters! Today Glora and I are doing our Cricut challenge w/ each other.  Glora chose the cut this month and she chose this adorable bunny from the Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge.  It is on the tooth button.  The bunny is actually found in an Easter basket.  I wasn't really feeling an Easter card, I really don't like making cards I probably won't use and I rarely give out cards for things like Easter, St. Patty's, 4th of July, etc.  Just one of my many crafting quirks.  :)  So I was trying to figure out how to turn an Easter cut into something I might use and I thought Bunny = Baby.  So yes, I made a baby girl card.  It's very pink.  Beware.  ;)

Make sure that you go to Glora's blog to see what she has made.  I'm hoping it is an Easter card.  You should really see how cute this cut really is.  :)  Thanks for stopping by!  I'll have another card for you on Friday.  I know, 2 in one week is insane!  lol
