Creations w/ Christina & My Pink Stamper
We have a challenge to create something w/ a Christmas cut in a non Christmas way. So I have used the Joys of the Season cartridge and used the Christmas Rocking Horse cut and made it into a baby boy card. Thanks Robyn & Christina! Their links to their websites are on the left hand side. A definite must see for crafters. :)

Christmas Cards to my Nieces and Nephews
Here are the Christmas cards I made for my nieces and nephews. I'm holding on putting up my siblings cards just in case they check this site out. :)
This is what I put on the inside. I just LOVED this stamp. It came from stampingbella.com. My dogs were just too close to looking like this for me to NOT get it. :) Then I of course HAD to put my tithing message in there. It's what I do for their Christmas and birthday cards. If I forget you can believe that I hear about it. :D
Congrats Nurse Cyndi!
My sister Cyndi just graduated from nursing school. This is her congrats card. Hopefully you can tell but it is in the shape of a band-aid. :)

Happy Birthday Cole
Here is a birthday card that I made for my nephew Cole, who will be 3 on the 20th.
I LOVE this paper. It is from Close to My Heart (CTMH) called Tinkerin. I definitely have to get more of it. The main robot and message is from Recollections Robot stamp set and the dog is from CTMH Robot Power Stamp set. The ribbon is from Pebbles: Sun Yellow. That ribbon I got from a website called scrapbooksteals.com. I LOVE this site. They send you an email everyday for the 'deal' of the day. This ribbon was normally $60 and got it for $15. (or something like that). It came in all different colors and there were different variations of ribbon of the same color. Definitely sign up for that site. It's great.

The Tragedy of the Advent Calendar
Well, only 2 days into the Advent Calendar and it didn't survive the storm of 'The Tavis Kyla Misty'. That's not very good odds. Basically the dogs were playing, hit the side of the piano, the calendar fell to the ground and the dogs had a fun fest chewing on the chipboard pages. So fun!
I came upstairs to check on them, saw the calendar laying on the floor. I of course lashed out by screaming 'WHY WHY WHY!!!' (yes, picture a 1940's movie) They just looked at me as if I was weird. Then I went to my craft room and closed the door on them. I could hear them whining outside the door but had no sympathy. So basically after HOURS of putting this together it was destroyed in a few minutes. I did go through each page and I have to replace about 7 pages, possibly 8. (I won't lie, I did mist up) It is a project that will have to wait until after Christmas or just before because I have too many other Christmas projects going on.
I'll still post the pages for each day though so you can see the original pages.

His Name is Awesome
Here is a card I made my brother Sterling. He convinced the primary kids we use to teach together that his first name was Awesome. So I when I saw this stamp I just had to get it. So funny.

Little Stinker
My dad was trying to take a picture of his medals for us and we couldn't get the right lighting. So he took it outside to try and take a picture of it. Wasn't a great idea as it reflected everything but do you see my cute little stinker Kyla in the pic? :) Too Cute! Aren't all of the medals impressive? So proud of my dad.

"Title" Cover
I tried to make the whole album have an old fashion feel to it. For the inner pages I used SU! Top Note Die for the main paper and chipboard cut. The inner creme/tan paper is cut from the Storybook cartridge.
I got this idea from Christina from Creations w/ Christina. Her link to her webpage is on the left.

Happy Birthday Maddie
I made this card for my niece Maddie Jo. Her favorite colors are navy blue and turquoise and she loves music. That is how I came up w/ this card. I cut the circle out of the silver paper then put a laminate sheet behind it w/ the sticky side facing the outside of the card. Then I sprinkled turquoise glitter on it. I really liked the effect of it. My only problem w/ it is when I was putting everything up I accidentally tipped over the container w/ the glitter in it and got it everywhere. Even on my dog Kyla. :)

Another Happy Thanksgiving
OK, the funny thing about this card is that the turkey was a perfect brown color and then I decided to put UTEE on it to make it have a gloss and it turned a dark brown, almost black. I made this card for Ster. The joke in the family is that I love to burn things because I like crunchy food. So I just told Ster in the card that I burned the turkey for him. :)

Happy Thanksgiving
I have to say I was really excited about doing this card. What I did was I stamped 3 different types of leaves with Versamark ink then I sprinkled 3 different colors of embossing powder on them and embossed w/ my heat gun. I was really happy about the way the leaves turned out. Looked just liked fall leaves. It ended up having a pearlized or metallic sheen to it as well. I looked at my box where the embossing powders came in and lo and behold 'Metallic & Pearlized Embossing Powder'. :) Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Ster & his new Companion
So I made this card for my brother. His new companion is 7'2" and Ster is 6'. To see a real life picture of them go to his blog, it's posted on the left hand side of this blog, called Elder Sterling Nisson. It's pretty funny. Anyways, they are trying to capture an iguana or a gecko. So this is a card showing their height difference and that they caught it for a pet. It also shows the brace on Ster's hand that he just recently broke. :D
