She even oohs and aahs over clothes. She's 4. :) So I went all out and made the most flashiest princess card ever. I'm sure that was proper English. ;)

Merry Christmas to You!

Merry Christmas! I wanted to share the two Christmas cards that I made recently. This first one I made for my vet & my puppies groomer. I LOVE this one. I'm thinking about making another one to frame and put it out as one of my Christmas decorations.

It's hard to see but I put Diamond Stickles on the bottom snow to make it sparkle like fresh snow.

This next one was super simple but turned out cute.  It was my Christmas card I made for my boss.

That one is also great for mailing out because it has no bulky layers.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a Wonderful Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Noel Card

Hi Crafters & Bakers! Today Georganne and I are doing our Cookie Card Challenge. I make one of her cookie designs into a card and she makes one of my card designs into a cookie.  One of my favorite days of the month.  :)  I was needing a quick Christmas card and saw this cookie and thought it would be perfect.  I changed the colors a bit to use traditional Christmas colors.  Here is her cookie, you can see her post HERE.

Here is my take on the card:

The only thing I'm not a fan of is that I wished I made it into a square shaped card.  I think it would have been more balanced looking, like her cookie.

To make the stripes I cut 1/2" strips and laid them on the base cut and glued them down then trimmed around the base cut and it matches the cut easily!  :)  I added some Diamond stickles on the stripes and the letters to give it more pizazz.

Be sure to check out Georgannes blog, LilaLoa, to see what she made off of one of my designs!  I can't wait myself.  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

To make the stripes in the background I embossed the white cardstock w/ the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder then lightly ran the blank ink pad over the embossed area.

The perfect boys card.  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Framed Silhouette Pet Images

Hi Crafters!   Today's project is a gift for my friend.  My friend watched my dogs while I was at my sisters wedding.  It was for 5 days.   She also has 2 dogs and a cat so she had 5 pets with her.  My dogs I'm sure had a blast hanging out w/ her and her other 2 dogs and had fun torturing her cat.   lol :)   I wanted to give her a little something as a thank you.  I was SO grateful that they were with her instead of in a kennel.  It was a relief for me and I knew I didn't have to worry about them.  So I found this image of this framed silhouette dog and wanted to try to recreate it:

I loved it but it cost over $200.  Definitely couldn't pay for that so I thought I would make my own.  I thought I could put strips of ribbon behind my silhouettes and get a similar look.  What happened was I put the silhouette in the frame to protect it while I searched for the right ribbon and fell in love w/ the simple look and thought it would work perfectly.  The background color is from the back of the frame.

The cuts come from the Silhouette store.  The little corner design is from a damask design, it's the tip of the cut.  The frames are 10"x10".  The paper is just plain old white cardstock.  :)

For delivery I wrapped a thick blue ribbon around it:

She loved it!  Thanks for stopping by!

I love these days because it gives me inspiration on what to make.
