Happy Birthday Brah!

It's my sisters birthday and one of our favorite movies is French Kiss w/ Kevin Kline and Meg Ryan. It's not so much the movie that is the best but they do have the best one liners in the movie. One of them is when Meg is in a phone booth, practically broken because her fiance is w/ another woman. She is on the phone and she puts her fist in the air and says 'I will triumph' in the saddest voice. It was too funny. So that is Deb's mantra when things aren't going well. She's had a rough last year and I wanted her to remember something funny and to keep the mantra going. :)

The cut is from the Don Juan cartridge. It actually is a thumbs up image and I just trimmed that part off so it could be a fist. The paper and ribbon are from PTI.

Happy 40th Spence!

It's my brother's 40th birthday. You'd think that I would make him a black, so sorry, card but I just had to make this one. On the inside I wrote 'Well... happy birthday...' I'm hoping he'll have the Eeyore voice in his head while reading as it was while I was writing it. :D lol My brother got remarried a year and a half ago and before he got married his coworkers use to call him Eeyore. :) He's more of a tigger now but I just couldn't resist, this cut was too cute. Eeyore, the log and the patch of grass all came from Pooh and Friends cartridge. Love it!

Happy Birthday Ryan

I put together this bottle gift for my nephew Ryan. He is turning 8 and he loves Dinosaurs and the movie 'Knights Tale'. He calls the movie 'We Will' because of the opening song We Will Rock You. :) So cute. Inside I put a bag of Skittles, Bubble Gum Tape, Pop Rocks Candy, Punch Balloon, and 20 small plastic dinosaurs.

All cuts are from the Paper Doll Dress Up. I used Stickles for the Happy Birthday Ryan side. The paper is all basic Roberts Crafts paper.

Happy Birthday Uncle Bill

I made this card for my Uncle Bill who likes to fish. I'm not really sure on the color combination. I tried to make the present have the colors of a fish and then I did the background and it just didn't blend like I thought it would. Luckily he's an older male and probably won't notice. :)

I used the Sweet Treats cartridge for the present. The embossed "woods" is from the Cuttlebug Forest Branches embossing folder. The stamps I used for the fishing pole and the water is from the Close to My Heart 'Worlds Best Dad' stamp set. All of the paper and ribbon are from PTI.

Happy Birthday Aunt Karen

This is a card I made for my Aunt Karen. It's from the Paisley cartridges, p. 42. I cut it out at 3 3/4 inches. I cut it out twice to add more depth to the card. The base green (Spring Moss) and purple (Plum Pudding) cards are from PTI. The white is basic white from Roberts Crafts. The purple (Plum Pudding) ribbon is from PTI as well. The designer paper is from My Minds Eye Spectrums Warm and Cool paper packs.

The stamp on the inside was done using the Technique Tuesday Quincy Alphabet clear stamp set.

Flower Container

My mom was about to throw out this container the other day and I thought maybe I could use it for something. So I cleaned it and brought it to my craft room. It's an Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough container. :) It already had a brown and white flower design on the outside, which funny enough, matches the colors I want to use in my room. If I ever get it set up. :) I cut out a 6 3/4 circle to cover the lid which had all of the writing on it then put 3 large flowers on top w/ a brown button in the center. I decided to put my bigger flowers in this container. It worked out great.

Happy Birthday Luke

Here is the bottle I made for Luke. He is turning 8 and plays basketball, baseball and soccer. So I have those Cricut solutions cartridges and made an image and attached it to each side of the bottle. I'll add the words Happy Birthday to the back of the bottle.

Happy Birthday Ster

It's my brother's birthday next week and this is what I came up w/. Man it's hard to come up with male cards. :) I used the balloon from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I've cut it twice to make it have more depth. You can see what I mean from the side pic. I used the DCWV Playful Posies designer paper. I had to use multicut to get a good cut on it. I then wrapped dark brown linen thread around the base of the balloon and then let it hang down the balloon as it's string. I also used the bubble Cuttlebug embossing folder on the white paper. The kraft and enchanted evening paper is from PTI and the white paper is basic white from Roberts Craft. I then inked the edge of everything w/ brown ink.

Wedding Card - P

My ex-bosses daughter is getting married and I wanted to send a little congrats card to her and her new husband. Her new last name starts with a P so I decided to use that as my inspiration. I tried to make a classy card for a wedding card. I really liked how this turned out. I might use this as a template for future wedding cards. The letter P came from the Cricut cartridge 'Tie the Knot'. The Dark Chocolate and Scarlet Jewel paper is from PTI. The creme paper is basic creme cardstock that I got from Roberts Crafts. The background stamp is from Hero Arts called Flourish, it's one of their new cling stamps. And I used the Dark Chocolate ink from PTI to make it match the brown paper in the back. Thanks for looking!
