Congrats, it's a Boy!

Happy Leap Day!  :)  My crafting bestie Glora just found out she is having a boy.  She and her hubby are so excited, as they have two girls right now.  I'm sure those girls are excited as well.  :)  Well, when I found out, this card came to mind and so I had to make it and send it to them.  The cut is from the 9 Months Cricut Lite cartridge.  I love this cart, I think it has some fabulous images on it.  This image is cut at 3.25".  The sentiment is from the My Pink Stampers Sweet Baby stamp set.  I put this together using the Cricut Craft Room and using colors on one of the cartridges.

Good Luck Card

Happy Monday Crafters!  This week over at Creative Critterz Imagination we are continuing the theme of St. Patrick's Day.  I had a really hard time coming up with a project for this theme since I don't normally hand out St. Patrick's Day cards.  I thought about creating something to wear but I thought that was covered already.  I then thought about making a green birthday card because my nephews birthday is on the 17th but decided against that as well.  As I was searching through the images in Cricut Craft Room I saw this image and thought that this is perfect because I can use it at anytime during the year.  :)

This image came from the Imagine More Cards Imagine cartridge.  It is cut at 3.75".  I only did 3 of the layers, the main image, everything that is on the brown layer and then the clover.  The blue striped paper is also from this cartridge so it matched perfectly.

I cut a smaller clover out at .8" and put it on the inside.

Here is a side view.  You can see the layers better.  I pop dotted each layer to make it more dimensional.

Treat Box With a Hinge

Hi Crafters!  I just want to say a big thank you to you for being patient with me during the last couple of months of school that I'm going through right now.  I'm 1/2 way done w/ my project so I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  :)  I made these cute treat boxes for my mom's ladies at work for Valentines day.  The box is so cute!  I love how it worked out, I've never seen this type of box before.  It has a "hinge".  It's also going to be a very heavy picture post because I didn't have time to do a video.  OK, here you go...

This box was cut from the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut cartridge and was cut at 10".  I flood filled it from the All Wrapped Up Imagine cartridge.  The image centered beautifully which made it perfect when lining up the sides.

The lid I flood filled from a solid color on the All Wrapped Up Imagine cartridge.  This lid originally had a heart in the middle of it but I decided to keep it simple so hid the heart to make a solid box.

This is where I put the glue strips.  I used the Scor-pal tape.  LOVE this tape.  Anywho, I put it on the inside of the hinge and the outside of the two tabs on the lid.

For the box you put it on the outside of each tab.  There are 4 of them.

This is what the box looks like put together

And what the lid looks like put together.  Only put the tabs together first.

You will glue the "hinge" or straight edge of the lid to one of the sides of the box

This is what it looks like when the lid is open.  I love that the lid is connected to the box.  Such a fun box!

Here is a side view so you can see how the design lined up perfectly.  :)

To finish it off I put candy on the inside and tied a ribbon around it.  Kept it simple.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day Crafters & Friends!  :)  I made the following card for my dad.  Something simple but I thought worked perfectly for a man's V-Day card.  The image is from the Smiley Cards cartridge.  The only thing I changed on it was I didn't use the heart pupils.  I punched out circles for the pupils instead.  I just thought the heart pupils were more on the romantic side instead of father/daughter.  lol  :)

The heart is also on an Action Wobble which makes it interactive, perfect for a man.  ;)

Card Recipe:
Smiley Cards Cartridge - 4.25"
Echo Park Christmas Collection 6x6" paper pack - Polka dot paper
PTI - True Black, White, and Sweet Blush cardstock
Action Wobble
Polka Dot Cuttlebug Embossing folder
SU! - 1/2" Circle Punch
Fiskars 1/4" Circle Punch
White Gel Pen
Glossy Accents

Hoppy Birthday!

Happy Monday Crafters!  This week on the Creative Critterz Imagination blog we are continuing the frog theme.  It took me a little while to come up with an idea.  My first idea was to make a 'Hoppy Valentines Day' card but decided to do a birthday card instead.  I found the perfect stamp message from the My Pink Stampers Buggy Punnies stamp set.

I created this card using the Cricut Craft Room then printed and cut it out with my Imagine.  I love the combo of CCR and the Imagine.  It works PERFECTLY together!  I use my Imagine more than my E2 now.  This is what the LO of my CCR mat looked like:

Here is the finalized card.

The frog is from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.  All of the colors and designer papers are from the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge.  All of the cartridges used and sizes are listed at the bottom.

I used Diamond Stickles all over.  I embossed the white paper w/ the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Embossing folder and then put a Diamond stickle dot in the center of each dot.

Here is the inside of the card.  I put a strip of the pink striped paper on the inside and one of the extra birthday hats.

Card Recipe:
Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge
Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge - Frog 2"
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge - Balloons 1"
Cricut Craft Room Basics - Scallop circle 1.75" & circle 1.5"
Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge - Birthday hat .7"
My Pink Stampers Buggy Punnies stamp set
Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Diamond Stickles
PTI - Simply Chartreuse & White cardstock

Reward Box

Hi Crafters!  This week I'm sharing with you a box I simply decorated.  I wanted to have a rewards box for me to put money in each week so when I reach certain milestones I'll have the money to reward myself.  This box was SUPER simple.  I bought it at a party favor store for like .80 cents or something like that.  Super cheap.  It is 4" high and 6" wide and 4" in depth.  This is what the box looked like before I decorated it:

I then cut out this gorgeous red paper just a 1/2" shorter so a little of the white showed on each side.  The paper is from the DCWV Immortal Love paper stack.  It's based off of Twilight.  :)

I wrapped a white satin ribbon around the whole box and then tied a double bow on the front using my Bow Easy tool.  I was going to put a pearl design on it but I just didn't feel like it in the end and I really liked the simplicity of it.

I hand cut a slot on top using an xacto knife.

This is on top of my filming desk so none of my nieces and nephews accidentally "discover" what's inside.  :)
