PPC Digital Monday - I'm Hoppy For You!

If you are here for the Cupcake Blog Hop, go to the post below
or just click HERE.

Today is Ditigal Images Monday over at Paper Playtime Challenge.  The project I chose to do is an image from Doodle Pantry called Froggie.  I used the colored image.  I didn't know that they colored the images in for you.  It sure takes the pressure off of having to color something if you're not great at it.  :)  I love this froggies expression.  He is so Hoppy! ahem, I mean Happy!  :D

When I saw this image I knew exactly what sentiment to put with it.  I pulled out My Pink Stampers Buggy Punnies stamp set.  The sentiment is just perfect w/ this image!

I'll tell you how I perfectly center my digi images.  It's super easy:  I opened a Microsoft Word document and inserted a label the size of my card, 5" x 3.75".  I also have 1 inch margins on all sides.  I then insert the image inside that label and then just print the document.  Once printed I cut off the 1" margins then cut the 5" x 3.75".  Perfect!  :)

Make sure you head on over to the Paper Playtime challenge and submit a project.  The challenge theme is anything goes so you can submit ANYTHING.  They will be giving away a LOT of prizes so have some fun this week w/ us over at Paper Playtime Challenge!!!  :)

Episode 42: Cupcake Blog Hop w/ Giveaways

Welcome to the Cupcake Blog Hop!  If this is your first stop and you would like to start at the beginning head on over to Janis' Pause Dream Enjoy blog.  If you came here from Melissa's blog you are in the right place.

For this hop we could make anything we wanted as long as it had the image of a cupcake on it.  I figured cupcake = girlie so I decided to do something a little different by making a boy party set.  I made an invitation card, treat box and placemat name tag.

For my giveaway Robyn 'My Pink Stamper' has ever so sweetly volunteered to sponsor my stop on the blog hop.  She is giving away her new stamp set call Sweetest Cupcakes.  How Fitting!  :)  And a BIG super thanks to her for doing this for me.  To be eligible to win the blog candy leave 1 comment on this post with a way to get a hold of you.  You do not have to be a follower of my blog unless you want to.  You have until Monday, February 28th at 10pm MST to leave a comment.  I'll announce the winner on Tuesday, March 1st.

Your next stop on the hop is Sharon with MeeMee's Creations.  She always has something super fun to share.  If you get lost along your way here is the list:

FIF -Matchbox Challenge

For the Flaunt it Friday's challenge this week you need to make the matchbox cut in the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge.  OK, this one took a little thinking and researching on my part.  The cut is found on page 124 of the guide (button 43 on the overlay).  When I put it on my Gypsy it wasn't making any sense.  The main image and the shift image are pretty much the same.  It is the inside box cut.  I couldn't figure out how to do the cover for the box.  So I decided to google it (Thank you Google!) and by watching THIS video it shows that the cover is actually on page 123 of the guide (button 42 on the overlay).  So the two buttons go together.  OK, now it makes sense.  Whew!  I didn't make a video for this project since the video I watched covered it for me.  :)   I cut both images at 5".

Now head on over to the Flaunt it Friday's blog to submit your project to be eligible for the monthly prize.

Episode 41: MPS Design Team - Princesa!

When I got Robyn's new stamp set called 'Spanish Sayings' I was excited to try them out.  Now, I don't speak Spanish but I knew it would be fun.  :)  The sayings on these stamps are the same sayings on the Everyday Life stamp set, which I love.

The project I wanted to make is a Princess birthday project.  So I made a Princess card and a little gift bag to go with it.

For those that don't speak Spanish it says 'Princess' on the front and 'Have a Happy Birthday' on the inside.

Make sure you head on over to Robyn My Pink Stampers blog to see her and the other design team members projects.

Episode 40: Paper Playtime Technology Challenge

This weeks challenge with Paper Playtime is TECHNOLOGY!  Create a project that has an image of some form of technology on it.  In my opinion, anything w/ power or advancement is technology.  Watches, cars, clocks, planes, ipods, computers, etc...  Our sponsor for this week is MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING & MORE.  She is offering a gift certificate over to her site.  Who doesn't want free money to a scrapbooking store???  Dang, too bad I'm a designer this week!  ;)

I created a boy's birthday card for my project.  I used a space shuttle as my technology image.  I also used Robyn My Pink Stampers new stamp set called Sweet Baby for my sentiment.

Funny Puppy Pics

If you are looking for the My Pink Stampers Blog Hop
scroll to the post after this one or click HERE

Yesterday my dogs were groomed and Kyla, my Shi-tzu/Maltese mix, has the longest eyelashes that I love so I told them to trim them but not too short.  Because one grooming session they were stubs and I wasn't too pleased, luckily they grew out.  Anyway, so I want them trimmed but left a little longer so that you can see them.  So I go to pick her and Tavis up at the groomers and realized that they didn't trim them at all.  My dad calls them hooker eyes.  It's hilarious.  They are so long and they sweep off the side.  I took a pic of them:

Click on the pic so you can see them up close.  She is just too cute.  So then I go to take a pic of Tavis and he HATES getting his pic taken.  He sees the camera go up and he turns his head.  I finally got one of him, it's a side pic of course:

Now on to the funny stuff.  Here is my first pic of Tavis (Can you tell he hates his pic taken?):

And this is my first pic of Kyla when I said 'Let me see those pretty eyelashes pretty girl!':

You can see her eyelashes really good in this one too.

Hope you enjoyed!  :)

Episode 38: MPS Pinkalicious Blog Hop - Fave Color

Welcome to the My Pink Stampers Pinkalicious Design Team Blog Hop!  If you are here from Tracy's blog you're in the right spot.  If you need to start at the beginning head on over to the My Pink Stampers site.  The theme of this blog hop is to use your favorite color plus the color black (and a white/cream color if needed).  You can create any type of project.

For my project I decided to make a shaped card, which isn't my forte, but I attempted it.  I'm really happy w/ it although I think I cheated a bit.  My favorite color is a dark burgundy red.  W/ black my card would have been pretty dark so I added a little green and blue.  :)  My sentiment is from Robyn's new stamp set called 'More Faithful Sayings'.  I love it!  It has the sweetest sayings.

I thought that this card could be used for a House Warming card or a Thank you/Thinking of You card.

For my blog candy I am giving away one of my favorite My Pink Stamper stamps 'Family & Friends'.  I probably use it the most.  To be eligible to win please leave 1 comment on this post with a way to get a hold of you.  You do not have to be a follower to win.  This will close Monday Feb 14th at 10pm MST.  I'll announce the winner on Tuesday the 15th.

You're next stop is Cristi with Scrappin' 5 Little Cupcakes.  I know she has something wonderful for you to see.  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

If you get lost along the way here is the line up:

Episode 37: Baseball Birthday Card

Before I get to the card I wanted to let you know of a blog hop that is happening on Friday.  It's the My Pink Stampers Design Team blog hop.  It will start at 8pm CST/7pm MST.  Giveaways will be, well, given away and fun will be had.  So make sure you stop by my blog on Friday to check it out!

On to the card....  This card was made for my other Bro-in-laws birthday.  He is a big baseball fan.  It's a pretty simple card to make but it turned out really well and he liked it a lot.   As I'm posting I realized that I should have put that baseball on an Action Wobble.  It would have been really fun for him.  Oh well...

PPC - Hearts, Hearts & More Hearts

This weeks Paper Playtime challenge is to create a paper project that has hearts or Cupid on it.  Our sponsor for this week is Peachy Keen Stamps.  I LOVE Peachy Keen Stamps!  Not only do they have adorable images they have the best face stamps to go with Cricut cuts.  So head on over to the Paper Playtime blog and submit your project for a chance to win a gift certificate to Peachy Keen Stamps!

My project today is simple but a little time consuming.  The idea for the card came from one of my cousin's cookie designs HERE.  Check out her blog, she has some awesome cookie and cake creations.  She's hilarious to boot too.  :)  One of the things I really like about this card is that the colors aren't V-Day colors, so I can use this for a V-Day card or for a 'Thank you' card or something like that.

My card is a 5"x5" sized card.  I punched out the hearts using the Stampin' Up! small heart punch.  How I put the card together was I glued down the layers, added dimensionals to the back of the hearts and laid them out on the card the way I wanted them placed.  I then picked up each heart one by one, took off the backing of the dimensional and laid it down on the card again.  Once I confirmed the placement of everything I pressed down hard on the hearts to make sure they were glued in place.

Episode 36: FIF Pucker Up, Buttercup!

This project is for the Flaunt it Friday's challenge.  The challenge is to use the lips that are found on the Indie Art Cricut Cartridge.  If you don't have that cartridge you can still participate by making a project w/ some lips on it.  :)  If you are the winner of the challenge your name is put into a drawing for this months prize.

So when I saw these honkin' lips the saying "Pucker Up, Buttercup!" came to my mind and I just had to use it.  I printed the saying on the cardstock with my computer.  The lips are cut at 3.5".  I also covered them w/ XMas Red stickles to make them more sassy.  Then to add some fun to the project I put it on an Action Wobble.  Make sure you watch the video to see them in action.  :)  LOL

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam - Episode 35: Bundle of Joy!

I'm really excited about this post today.  Glora from Glora's Crafts and I have decided to try something fun.  The first Wednesday of the month she and I will make a project using the same Cricut cut or type of project.

For our first project I chose the Straight from the Nest Cricut cartridge and the clothes line image.  I needed to make a baby card and I know she just got that cartridge so that is the reason behind it.  I hope you enjoy what we are doing.  I know it will be a lot of fun and maybe in the future we can do a challenge that the rest of you can participate in.  Let us know by leaving a comment if that is something you would want to participate in.

Now, make sure that you head on over to her blog to check out her creation.  She is always amazing in her projects, she goes above and beyond on finishing a project.  Amazing!

I also used the new My Pink Stampers "Sweet Baby" stamp set.  It has the cutest sayings and the cutest fonts.  Love It!!!  Be sure to head on over to her blog to purchase this one.  This is a 'Have to Have' stamp set.

*This is a 5"x5" sized card.  I wish I would have made it an A2 sized card.  It would have had a lot less white space on it.  Lesson learned.  :)

OK, this is a funny card that I made for my bro-in-law.  He just turned 50.  So of course, I had to tease.  I thought this came out pretty darn funny.  lol
