My Stamp Storage Solution

Here is my stamp storage. I got them from Gina K. You can buy them here. LOVE THEM!!! Well, this might not be good storage for people that have a cajillion stamps. But they work for me. What I like about them is how the inside is set up and that you can add designer paper to the front, back and spine of the binder to color coordinate to your room. I'm planning on decorating with dark red, my fave. So I used Roberts paper for the red and light tan. I used the Don Juan cartridge for the titles (cut at 1") and welded them with my Gypsy.

For the inside I stamped what the images are to make it easier to find what I want. Like I said, I'm really happy with this system and plan on getting more binders for the rest of my stamps. If you already have the binders and are wondering the size of the papers to cut here are the dimensions:

(2) Sides - 9 1/4 x 6 3/4
Spine - 9 1/4 x 1 1/8

Thanks Gina K!

Happy Birthday Jerry

So my brother in law hates the color pink. He's funny about it, it can't touch him in any way. So one day we caught him wearing a pink shirt and he said 'It's not pink, it's lightish red'. So I decided to make a card for him this year for his birthday w/ pink in it. This first card was my first attempt but decided it was way too girly. So I'm going to keep it and give it as a card for someone in my ward.

This next card is the one I ended up making for him. It is a little more manly w/ the pink. :) so on the inside I wrote 'I heard that lightish red was your favorite color. So I tried to incorporate it in your card but it was hard to do when trying to make a manly card.' :D

Happy Birthday Becca Part 2

So I changed my mind on the card for my niece Becca after seeing the following Youtube video by Yoliebean here. If you haven't checked her out before make sure you do. She is So creative!

The bottle is a 1 Liter bottle. I cut a flap on the side and inserted some silver and pink shredded paper then some fun stuff my niece would like. I put in some skittles, bubble gum tape, lollipop ring, nerds and some lipgloss. I usually do a card with $5 in it but I thought that this would be a fun change for them this year. And for me. :) I then taped the flap shut w/ packaging tape and covered the middle section of the bottle w/ designer paper. The dimensions are 5 x 12 inches. I found some chipboard images that I thought looked cute w/ the paper I chose. I then had to use some ribbon since I have so much. :D

Congrats Nurse Cyndi! (Part 2)

Cyndi took her nursing exams yesterday and passed. YAY!!!! She is now officially a nurse. So I made her a card. The number is her nursing license number, I cut those w/ the Mickey Cartridge font, and the nursing hat was cut using the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. This is a 5x5 card w/ the edges rounded. I really liked the way this turned out.

Shaker Card

FINALLY!!! So I've been wanting to make a shaker card for a long time. I tried once before with disastrous results. It was thrown away fast. So I saw how Gina K made her shaker card and I used her example and made one myself. You can see her videos here there is a 2 part video for the shaker card.

This is a card I made for my brother who is serving his mission in FL. Thought I would send him some snow in case he was missing it. Most likely not, he hated snow shoveling. :)

OK, now that I have mastered, well, able to do it now, I can't wait to make another one. Maybe a baby rattle or a cupcake for a birthday card. Something like that. Fun!

Ribbon, Ribbon and More Ribbon

So since it's the new year I decided to do some organizing. I knew I had a lot of ribbon but didn't realize how much. I have been putting them on clothespins to take up less space. I thought about putting them in jars and making them decoration as well as being useful but since I had so much I ended up putting them in drawers.

Here are the bottom 3 drawers. I have the most ribbon in pink, blue and green. Funny enough none of those are my favorite colors, they're nice but wow I have a lot. Pink is the one I have the most of. The clothespins are 3 high!

Here are the top 3. Orange, Yellow, Purple, Red and Neutrals.

Needless to say, most of my projects will have some type of ribbon in it for a while. :)

Gift Bag

Today I learned from Live Love Scrap how to make a homemade gift bag. To view how to make it go to her youtube video here

After seeing that I had to go home and make one. I used the DCWV Butterflies and Blossoms paper. Too Cute! The tabs that help keep that area strong so it won't tear. It was made w/ the Cricut cartridge Fabulous Finds, #33 and cut at 2" in the blackout feature. Then I put larger pink brads in the holes to help hold the ribbon in place as well. You can dress it up more by adding embellishments to the front. That's probably what I'll do. For example, make a large butterfly or flower and attach it to the font of the bag then create a tag to attach to the ribbon so I can put to and from on it.

Sorry for the bad images, they were taken w/ my phone.

Happy Birthday Wobee

My uncle is from Australia so I made him this card for his birthday. I was so excited to use that wood grain background stamp. I finally found one at Michaels and it was on sale 40% off! Jackpot!!! I then clear embossed it and rubbed Red Brick Tim Holtz ink on it to add in some red coloring. The Kangaroo & MATE cut is from the Animal Kingdom cartridge.

Happy Birthday Becca

This card was made from the Hello Kitty cartridge using the Cupcake Card feature. I made the frosting bigger than the normal size because I didn't want a lot of "Shadowing" going on, just the cupcake itself. I used Stickles for the sprinkles and cuttlebugged the pink frosting. I also used a sparkle gelly roll pen to add detail to the swirls on the pink frosting and in between the lines of the colors on the cupcake holder.

Here is a card I made for my brother Ster. It says inside: "Here are a couple of golden contacts that are vacationing in your area. They are really nice, some say Jolly". :)

Thank You Cards

Here are some Thank You Cards I made. I made them using my Gypsy (I got for Christmas) and the Gypsy font and Wild Card Cartridges. It was really fun to make. Thanks Mom and Dad for the Gypsy!!! :)

More Christmas Cards...

Here are the Christmas cards I made for my siblings. I didn't want to post them until after Christmas in case they checked my site.

(For my sister Bec - They are fans of Jimmie Johnson)

The following are the boxes I made for my sisters and a couple of friends Christmas gifts. I made about 14 individually crafted notecards for each of them and then put them in the following boxes. They are envelope boxes covered w/ designer paper. Then used the mini Monograms cartridge to do their name tags. So cute if I do say so myself: :)
