Not Just a Position, an Obsession

Hi Crafters! Last week was my nephews birthday. He is a catcher on his baseball team and he loves it. I really try and make my birthday cards for my nieces and nephews focused on their likes.  I searched online for quite a while looking for the perfect saying to go with a catchers mask and found the message I used.  I have no idea on who came up with the message but it was just what I needed.  :)

So Suave

Last week was my brothers birthday and he turned the big 30. He is such a great guy and I wanted a card to portray his awesomeness. :) He can be very suave, so funny, cute, and beyond a nice guy.  I saw this man image and thought it was perfect for him.

This is a flat card, nothing bumpy, so would be a great mailer card.

Bunny Silhouette - Cookie Card Challenge

Hello Crafters and Bakers! Today is the cookie card challenge. It's a time where I get to have inspiration from my cousins cookies and make a card based off of them. When I saw these ADORABLE burlap bunny cookies I knew I had to choose them for my inspiration. You can see her blog post on these cookies HERE.

I do have to say that my card is definitely not as cute as those cookies but I tried.  :)  The following is my card:

I wish I would have made the burlap a little longer but that's OK.  It still turned out cute.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head on over to LilaLoa to see what card she decided to remake into a cookie.  :)

Heart Photo Shoot - Cookie Card Challenge

Hi Crafters and Bakers! Sorry for the late post but I guess better late than never. :) It's that time of the month where I choose one of her cookies to try and recreate into a card and she makes a cookie based off of one of my cards. I saw this super cute cookie that I thought would be perfect for my dad's Valentine's card. You can see her post HERE.

She called them Photo Booth Cookies and I just loved the different ways the hearts are placed.  Here is my card based off of those cookies:

So funny note on that random dark dot on the white heart.  I grabbed my red pen (according to the red cap) and made a dot.  It was green.  The red cap was on the green pen and vice versa.  What's funny about this is I knew immediately who did it.  My nephew Cole likes to use my markers and pens and he is Red/Green color blind.  :)  It runs in the family.  My grandpa, brother and 4 of my nephews are Red/Green color blind.  So I've run across this before.  :)  So he thought he put them on correctly because he couldn't tell the difference.  It was really funny and now there is a cute story to go w/ the card.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head on over to Georgeanne's blog, LilaLoa, to see what she made.  They are adorable!  :)

Not a Winter Card - Heart Bouquet

Hi Crafters and Bakers! Today is the Cookie Card Challenge. I was looking through Georgeanne's cookie blog, LilaLoa, trying to decide on a cookie to remake into a card. I decided on a Valentines theme because I am already over Winter.  I am definitely looking forward to a little warmer weather and a color other than grey.  :)  Plus, my favorite color is Red so it was a no brainer for me.  :)

Here is the cookie that I chose to recreate.  I'm not going to lie, I can't remember if I've already recreated this one before or not but it spoke to me so I didn't care.  lol  You can find her blog post on these cookies HERE.

Here is the card that I made.  It's a long card which works perfectly with this design.  My only thing I wish I changed is adding more stems and having them more "loose" looking.  But all in all I love it.

I love the DCWV glitter yardstick.  It is so shiny and pretty.  :)  Here is a side view:

I also added a frame and heart in the inside:

Thanks for stopping by!  This was a simple card but it was a lot of fun and I love it.  :)  Be sure to stop by Georgeanne's blog, LilaLoa, to see what she made.
