Some News and Reminders

Hi Crafters!  First things first.  I am going to have a new blog address here soon (if it hasn't happened already).  I'm changing my blog name from simply-pam.blogspot.com to SimplyPamsCreations.com.  I've been wanting to do this for a while now but finally got the nerve to do it.  I'm not web savvy so I was a little hesitant.  :)  So if you want, you can change your bookmark.  Blogger will still forward the blogspot.com address to the new .com address.  Also my followers section isn't working right now until the transition is completed.

Second, as you can see I've changed the look of my blog.  This is not permanent as I'm still working on it.  Especially my Title/Logo.  I can't figure out what I want and I'm no web designer.  Anyone know of a fantastic one for super cheap???  :)

Third, I've set up tabs at the top of my page.  This is to help remove some of the clutter on the side.  I will eventually have my labels posted in the Categories tab and my videos in the Videos tab but this is a VERY manual process so will take me some time.

Fourth, I now have a Simply Pam's Creations Facebook page.   Click HERE and "Like" me so you can receive information and updates.  Or you can click on the Facebook tab at the top and that will take you right to the page as well.

Fifth, I have an exciting post/challenge that is coming up on Friday, April 6th.  It's something that I've been working on w/ someone FANTASTICALLY Wonderful!!!  It's going to be a lot of fun.  Make sure you stop by for that one for sure!

And lastly, I just want to remind you of the Wobble Wednesdays challenge that is going on right now.  You need to make a project that has a bunny on it and an Action Wobble.  For more details head on over to the blog, HERE.

Thanks so much for your support and patience.  :)

Happy Monday crafters!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I did.  I saw Hunger Games and LOVED it.  So great.  :)  This week over at the Creative Critters Imaginations blog we are continuing the Easter theme.  The card I made is actually very simple but it is fun to make.  I even made a video (Finally!).  How I used my Imagine is w/ the Easter eggs.  I used cuts on the Easter 2010 cartridge, flood filled each layer from colors on the Baby Boutique Imagine cartridge.  I then layered the images and cut them out.

I also did a fun technique using ribbon on the nest.  Enjoy!

Birthday's a Blast

Happy Monday crafters!!!  Today's card is more of a joke than anything.  It was my brothers birthday last Thursday.  He is constantly teasing me that I never have to imagine anymore to make a card because I now have an Imagine.  So I told him that I was going to make him a card after his birthday when I was done w/ school because I don't have time.  But I quickly threw together a card using my Imagine (one reason I love it).  Inside I wrote 'Since I don't have time to imagine up a card I let my Imagine do it for me.'   He thought it was hysterical.  Now there is nothing wrong w/ this card but I make more personalized cards for my siblings and this style of card has nothing to do w/ my brother.  :)

This card is also for the Paper Playtime challenge.  The challenge theme is to make a project for man/boy.  For the next two weeks you can make a card for this challenge to be eligible for a prize.

Imagine More Cards Imagine cartridge - All layers 3.7"

I'm Done!!!

Hi Crafters.  I have some AMAZING news.  I presented my final paper in front of my professors this morning, it went really well and that means that I am DONE!!!!  WOO HOO!!!!    I finally have my Bachelors degree!  Doing the happy dance right now.  :)  I also want to give a shout out to my crafting bestie Glora.  For the presentation I needed to bring someone that is within the industry I presented on and I asked Glora to be that person for me.  She was so sweet to drive over an hour and a half to be there for me.  AND she's preggers!  Love her!!!

Now I get to breathe and get organized.  My office/craft room is crazy messy and disorganized right now.  So I ask for another week to get my room organized, to take a breathe and then I'll start crafting and making videos.

Thank you for your support and patience.  :)

Wobble Wednesday - Basketball

I'm excited to announce a new design team that I am on.  It's called Wobble Wednesday's Challenge.  We will be providing you with a new challenge each Wednesday.  You do need to use Wobbles on your project.  If you don't have any, there is a special deal going on right now.  You can find more details HERE.

I needed to make a birthday card for my nephew this week so this worked out perfectly.  He loves basketball so I made a shaker element and attached it to an Action Wobble.  It turned out really cute!  I mean awesome!  You can't say cute w/ a boy card.  lol  ;)

I wish I took a video on how to make it and the look of it shaking and spinning but I just didn't have time.  I'm sorry.

I do have some good news.  I am presenting my paper on Friday morning.  If all goes well I will be DONE DONE DONE!!!  AND I will be able to make videos and more projects.  Can't wait!  :)

If you've never seen an Action Wobble in motion check out a video I made HERE.  Make sure you head on over to the Wobble Wednesday's challenge.  It's going to be a lot of fun!

Misfortune Cookies

Happy Monday crafters!  This week on the Creative Critterz Imagations blog we are making April Fool's Day projects.  I found this idea on Pinterest, here.  Thank heavens for that site right?  :)  Anywho, I thought it was hilarious.  :)  I used the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge to flood fill my circles.  That way it is bright and lots of fun.

I cut the circles out at 4.75".  Unfortunately I didn't have time to make a video as I am in my last week of school so I'm going a little KooKoo Crazy.   I found a video online, HERE, whose instructions I followed to make mine.  I will give you a tip though: If you use thicker paper on your  cookies like I did make sure you use really strong tape like ATG or ScorPal.  If not, they will pop right open.  Lesson learned.  If you use thinner designer paper you shouldn't have any problems.

I made 8 cookies and put them in a bowl for easy access for takers.

My messages are 4.5" long and .75" wide.  I then cut the end out like a pendant for extra design.  I have to say the messages I came up with were hilarious.  Here are the others:

- Today will be the worst day of your life.
- When you get something for nothing, you just haven't been billed for it yet.
- Lend money to family or a friend and you'll never see it again.
- Humor is an affirmation of losing your mind.
- If life is a dance floor, be a wallflower.  You'll thank yourself later.
- Today will not bring you fortune.  Well, ever.
- You will overcome difficult times but it will be a long and painful road.  It's going to suck.

The cookies ended up being big enough that I'm going to put Hershey Kisses in them.  Then my mom is going to take them to work on Monday, April 2nd.  April Fool's on a Sunday this year.  She thought they were really funny.  :)

Enjoy!

Simply Crafts with Glora and Pam - Just Chillin'

Morning crafters!  It's the first Wednesday of the month and that means it's a new challenge time w/ Glora and I on our Simply Crafts blog.  Glora chose the cut which is the Kite on the Create a Critter cartridge.  In case you can't find it, it's in the shift position on the giraffe cut.  If you don't have that cartridge you can use any kite cut.

When I was told of the cut that we were doing this month this idea came to my mind immediately.  It looked fabulous in my mind.  Well, it wasn't as executed as it was in my mind.  Obviously I was out of my mind.  :)  Unfortunately I didn't have time to make another one so here you go...

The kite is on an Action Wobble to make it more interactive.  The giveaway for this challenge is the My Pink Stamper Pink-alicious stamp set.  You can go HERE for more details.  By the way, I saw Glora's card. DARLING!!!!  I think she is the best crafter out there.  I love her creations.  Be sure to participate in the challenge.  You have until March 20th to submit a project.
