Not Just a Position, an Obsession

Hi Crafters! Last week was my nephews birthday. He is a catcher on his baseball team and he loves it. I really try and make my birthday cards for my nieces and nephews focused on their likes.  I searched online for quite a while looking for the perfect saying to go with a catchers mask and found the message I used.  I have no idea on who came up with the message but it was just what I needed.  :)

So Suave

Last week was my brothers birthday and he turned the big 30. He is such a great guy and I wanted a card to portray his awesomeness. :) He can be very suave, so funny, cute, and beyond a nice guy.  I saw this man image and thought it was perfect for him.

This is a flat card, nothing bumpy, so would be a great mailer card.

Eagle Scout Card

I can't remember if I shared this one yet or not. I couldn't find it so I'm guessing not. If I did, here it is again. :) I found the image by searching Eagle Scout Cartoon. I used the print and cut feature on my silhouette. For the background paper I searched for an image of boy scout patches.   It was originally a darker image but I faded the paper.  It turned out a lot better than I thought.  It's simple but works perfectly.

Don't you just love this Eagle?  I love his smile.  :)

So Many Eyes!

Hi Crafters and Bakers! Welcome to my tiny spot on the web. Today is the fun day where LilaLoa, aka Georganne, and I take inspiration off of each others work. I get to choose one of her adorable cookies and make a paper project off of that and she chooses one of my cards and makes a cookie off of that.  Have to say, one of my favorite days of the month to see what she has done.  :)  On to the show...

I have a ton of nieces and nephews so I always try and have multiple birthday cards on hand.  I saw these cookies of Georganne's and I had to recreate the one w/ the eyes.  Check out her blog post on these HERE.

I LOVE ALL of those EYES!!!  I knew I just had to do googlie eyes on my monster.  They jiggle and everything.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  If you haven't yet be sure to stop by the LilaLoa website to see what Georganne made and to check out all her other yummy creations.  She's amazing.

You're Out of this World Awesome!

Hi Crafters & Bakers! Today is the Cookie Card Challenge.  Woo Hoo! This is the time that I get to make a card based off of one of LilaLoa's cookies.  I love finding inspiration in different places for my cards and her cookies are fabulous inspiration.  Try it sometime!

I didn't want to make a valentines day card but I saw these cute V-Day cookies and I needed to use it for my inspiration.  So I flipped it to a birthday card.  The following are her cookies and you can find her post about them HERE.

The following is my card.  I have to say I love how it turned out.

I used my Cricut Explore for this card and it cuts fabulously, love the writing pen option (used it on the message), and easy to use software.

I added a bit of glitter.  lol  I also added a black gem for the eye.  Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head on over to the LilaLoa blog to see her cookie that she made off of one of my paper projects.

SUPPLIES:

Multi Cards Explosion: Day 3: A Little Miscellaneous

Day 3 of my MULTI-CARD EXPLOSION!!! Today I'm featuring cards that are a little miscellaneous.  I'll try to explain as I go.  :)

Card 1: Family

I made this card for my sister and her new husband when they got married.  They both have kids and they both have custody of those kids so this is a total blended family.   (7 kids total!)

Card 2: Bendy Father's Day Card

I wish I took better pics of this one.  It was really cool looking and classic.  It did fall flat when you unhooked the back and it fit in a regular A2 envelope.

Card 3: Wonder Woman!

This is my older sisters birthday card.  She is a woman that can do EVERYTHING and do it well.  She is also a mother of 5, just received her Bachelors in Nursing that she got later in life, works at night so she can be there for her kids during the afternoon/night for their school activities, and is a great wife & sister.

Card 4: Harmonica

I'm not super happy w/ this one.  I mean the card is fine but I made it for my nephew and I wish I would have used different colors.  Oh well, it's past now.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by for Day 4 tomorrow!  :)

Cookie Card Challenge - Happy Birthday Dark One

Hi Crafters & Bakers! Today Georganne and I are doing our cookie card challenge. I make one of her cards into a cookie and she makes one of my cards into a cookie. I was in the mood to make a boys card and I'm a sucker for Star Wars and Georganne made the cutest Star Wars cookies. Check them out HERE.  I chose to do Darth Vader.  Here is the cookie she made.  A LEGO Darth Vader!

Here is the card that I made.  Sorry the pics are TERRIBLE.  I couldn't find my camera so had to use my phone and it has been cloudy all week.  :-/

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you go to Georganne's blog, LilaLoa, to see what she made of mine!  :)
