Frank's Bride
Here is a card that I made for Halloween. This is actually the 2nd version. The first I didn't like at all. I don't know if you've tried this cut out before but I don't like the layering on it. Her face looks like it is a foot off the page. So I did some creative layering. I wanted her hair and dress the same height as her face and neck. So I cut out the main image again and hand cut those images out and glued it down. Her hair and dress was just plain purple. Nothing fancy. It was driving me nuts. After looking at it all night I added the stickles to her hair and dress. I love how her hair came out but I'm not in love w/ the dress. I used Diamond stickles. I didn't think it would come out this white. THEN her head was heavy so it fell backwards creating a crease in her neck so I added a little bling to cover that up. Don't get me wrong, I still like the card it just wasn't what I was hoping it would be. :) Anywho, here it is:

Paper Playtime Challenge #17 - Autumn
This week's challenge over at Paper Playtime is the theme of Autumn. So what does a little bear praying have to do with Autumn? There is a reason for it. :) Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish digital stamps. They are providing a giveaway to the winner of the challenge so be sure to participate, it's a lot of fun! This digital stamp is one of theirs and I just fell in love with it. They also have some amazing digital paper collections which I used as well for this card. So the coloring in the card is more Autumn than the image. Didn't it turn out so cute?
The following is how I made this card: First I printed the image on white cardstock:
Then I put that sheet of paper back in my printer tray and printed the image on top of it:
I did this on 3 other sheets of paper (6 different digital designer papers). Then I cut out the pieces I wanted from each and paper pieced them together. Then glued them on the first white cardstock that had the image on it. Everything is paper pieced except the bear fur. I colored that in. You'd think that I wasted a lot of ink and paper but I can make multiple cards of the same image and paper piece what's left to create the cards. So they will be similar but each different. If that makes sense. :) Paper piecing was a lot more fun that I thought it would be. I'll definitely have to try it out again.

Just a little note...
Can you believe that we are almost to the middle of September? I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. Crazy. Anywho, I thought I would share a pic of my pups. They are just too cute. I thought it was really funny how they were in the exact same position sleeping at the end of the bed.
Monday is another Paper Playtime challenge and our sponsor is giving away a Cricut Cartridge! So be sure to come back to see my submission and to find out the details of the challenge.

Paper Playtime Challenge #15 - Castles, Knights, & Damsels in Distress
Over at Paper Playtime this weeks challenge is 'Castles, Knights, and Damsels in Distress'. What a fun challenge! Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby Loo. They are offering a prize to the winner of the challenge. For more details head on over to Paper Playtime.
The image used is from Digital Delights and he is called Augustus the Dragon. How cute is he? :) I colored him in w/ my SU! markers and added Diamond Stickles to his wings and tail. The present is a SU! stamp that I cut out and put it between his hands. I did print out the dragon image a second time, colored his hands and cut them out individually so it looks like he holding the present. The paper is from SU! and the ribbon is some random ribbon I had on hand. I used the Mesh Cuttlebug embossing folder. I think it looks like dragon/lizard skin. The stamp sentiment is from the My Pink Stampers Family & Friends stamp set.
~ Thanks for looking and be sure to participate in the challenge for fun and for a prize! :)

Have a Tree-Mendous Day!
While looking through my craft room I realize I have TONS of designer paper, ribbon, and embellishments and I don't use them! So, you'll be seeing a lot more designer paper on my cards and I'll be trying to add embellishments and ribbon as well. :)
This card is an A2 size card cut at 4.25" x 11", folded in half. So the card folds in half tallwise, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I have no idea what it is called. :)
The tree cut is from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. I didn't cut out the heart or the leaves. The solid cardstock and buttons are from PTI. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Offbeat 6x6 paper pad. I used the My Pink Stampers More Punny-licious stamp set for the sentiment. I used the polka dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug and then added some random ribbon I had on hand.
Here is a pic of the inside of my card:

Warmest Winter Wishes and a Giveaway!
When I got the My Pink Stamper Winter Punnies stamp set I couldn't wait to use it. It has the cutest saying for Winter. Now, I'm not really ready for winter but I don't mind making winter cards. :) I love how this card turned out. Doesn't it just look cozy? I love the colors in it.
The cut is from the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses 6x6 paper pad. Just love it! The solid paper is from PTI and the ribbon from SU!. I tried out flocking for this card. I put it on the white portion of the hat. I got the White Fun Flock from Stampendous. I stamped the sentiment and snowflakes w/ Versamark and used white embossing powder. The snowflakes are on the same MPS stamp set as the sentiment. It has the best winter sayings. The stamp set is available for preorder and should be shipping out next week. So make sure you order yours! :)
Here is a pic of the inside of the card. I like to frame my paper and add an extra little embellishment. Why do I do this? Because I am TERRIBLE at writing messages in my cards. I can make them but can't write in them. :)
So I have a giveaway for this post. I'm doing this because I am over 250 subscribers. I've been over it for a while but keep forgetting to do a giveaway. So I thought since I'm showcasing the My Pink Stamper new stamp set Winter Punnies I'd give away one of her stamp sets. This is one of my favorites: Family & Friends. My favorite Happy Birthday and Thank You stamp sentiment is on this stamp set. I use it ALL THE TIME. :) It's in my favorite font too.
To win this stamp set please leave a comment on this post, with a way to get in contact with you, and be a follower of my blog. You have until Friday the 3rd, midnight MST, to enter. I'll announce the winner on Saturday the 4th.
GIVEAWAY CLOSED.... But you're more than welcome to leave comments still. :)
