Historical Boys Birthday Card

Happy Monday Crafters!  Before I get to my card I wanted to share that I'm down 65 lbs down now.  Woo Hoo!  :)  I've also uploaded a new photo to the 'A New Me' tab above.

This card is a birthday card I made for my nephew.  Besides sports he absolutely loves history.  I searched on the Silhouette site, Lettering Delights, for anything that has to deal w/ family crests.  I thought that would be a fun item to have on the card.  I printed it off w/ my computer and just hand cut it as it is a simple cut.  :)

You can go HERE to find out more information on the image.  The stamp sentiment came from Scrappy Moms Simple Sentiments stamp set.

I will have a project to share on Wednesday and Friday of this week.  Sorry I've been so hit and miss lately.  It's just been crazy at my house.

Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Crafts w/ Glora & Pam - Sunny Card

Hi Crafters and Friends!  Today is the first Wednesday of the month so that means it's 'Simply Crafts w/ Glora and Pam' time!  Woo Hoo!!!!  Glora chose the cut and she chose the Sun cut from the Create a Critter cartridge.  If you don't have that cartridge choose any Sun cut for your project.

I wanted something fun, classy and simple.  This is what I came up with:

This is what I did w/ the inside.  I put some of that blue striped paper on the inside.  It's 1" thick.  I like adding a little something extra to the inside.

There is a giveaway involved.  We're giving away(3) Sassafras In a Stitch Blossoms.  To be eligible for this goodie make sure you head on over to the Simply Crafts blog and submit your Sunny project.  :)

Also, be sure to head on over to Glora's blog, Glora's Crafts.  Her creations are A-MAZ-ING.  She puts so much detail in her projects.  Besides she's one of the best people in the world.  :)

Cookin' Up Some Birthday Wishes

My blog has now been transferred to my new custom domain.  So my blog address is now www.SimplyPamsCreations.com.  I will also have a new look to my blog in a few weeks.  I'm so excited!  :)

This card I made is for my brother who LOVES to cook and experiment in the kitchen.  I was trying to figure out how to make the cuts more manly and the designer paper I found is perfect!  I found this little gem of a paper pack at Joanns.  It's called Cloud9 Design Specialty 12x12 paper pack.  It has the most beautiful and perfect blues, turquoise, browns and greys.  I absolutely love it.  I'm thinking about getting another one to have on hand.  It's perfect for boy projects, especially big boy (uh, I mean men) projects.  :)

I don't know if you can really see it in the pictures but I used the Distress Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder on the white cardstock.  This folder is perfect for men as well.

On the inside of my card I put the 2nd spoon on the measuring cup cut.

There is a new challenge going on over at the Paper Playtime.  I am actually sponsoring this challenge.  To be eligible for the gift (below) head on over to the Paper Playtime blog and submit your project.

Happy 50th Anniversary!

This was for a friends parents 50th Anniversary. I saw pics of them 50 years ago and they do look like the people that are in the heart. :) I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Sweet Something stamp set. I used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, and used it backwards. The silver paper is from the Metallic DCWV paper pack, the rest of the paper and the ribbon is PTI.

Fishing You a Great Day!

I made this card for my uncle's birthday but it could be used for any occasion for a man, or a woman who likes to fish.

The fish cut is from Create a Critter. I used the Peachy Keen Animal Faces Medium stamp set for the fish's eye, it's a bird's eye in the stamp set. I also used the Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals stamp set for the sentiment. I embossed the background with the Checkerboard Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I used dark brown twine for the fishing line. Doesn't the fish look like he's happy to be caught? Kinda morbid. LOL. :) I used PTI Kraft paper and Paper Studio Gone Fishing designer paper on the fish. I have no idea on where I got the ribbon.

Oh Snap!

Here is a card that I made for my brother just to say hi. The turtle is cut from the Create a Critter cartridge. I used the Critter Faces Set A size Large from Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from the Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animal Stamp set. You can get them HERE. I used Stampin Up! circle punches for the sentiment stamp. The Polka Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder was used on the white paper for added circle dimension. I used the Uniball Signo white gel pen to color in the eyes and put stitching lines on his shell. The green paper is from Papertrey Ink.
