No Color Wedding Card

It's the first Friday of the month which means it's time for the Cookie Card Challenge! The cookie that I chose is from a challenge that Georganne did on her own blog, LilaLoa. She challenged her followers to make a cookie without using color. When I saw them I thought they would be perfect wedding cards. The one I'm basing my card off of is the one on the bottom left with the Damask image on it.   To see the blog post these cookies are on go HERE.

The damask image I chose I got from the Silhouette store.  I couldn't find one on my Gypsy.  I really liked the elegance of this, it does make a great wedding card.  Which is a good thing because we have like 6 weddings this month!  lol

Sorry for the shiny pic, w/ the cardstock being silver I couldn't take a pic w/o a flash on it.  I also had to use my cell phone for the pics so they aren't the best or w/ the best lighting.

Make sure you stop by Georgeanne's blog to see what project of mine she made into a cookie!  :)

Love Birds!

Today's card I made for my cousin. She is getting married and this card was for her wedding shower. It's from the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge. The cut only has a limb on it and I felt like it was just floating in the air on the card so I cut out a tree trunk by hand to attach it to something.  :)

I added a lot of texture to the card to make it stand out more.  I wish I would have embossed the background but that's OK.  It might have actually been too much so I guess it's good I left it alone.  lol  :)

Episode 128: Shirt to Background Paper

Hi Crafters! Today Glora and I are doing our cut challenge w/ each other. What this means is that we choose a cut and we both make a project using that cut. This month it was Glora's turn to choose.  She chose the Hawaiian shirt from the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge.  I was trying to figure out how best to use this cut.  I couldn't figure out a way to use it on a card that I would use.  Then I decided to enlarge it and make it into background paper!  I show how I put this together in the video.

Here is a pink version:

And this is what I did on the inside
Sorry the pics are bleh.  I had to use my phone and at night.  Not the best of circumstances.  lol  Here is a little video showing how I made this card:

Be sure to go to Glora's blog to see what she did w/ this cut!  :)

I'd Choose You All Over Again...

I realized that I forgot to get this post together yesterday. :) This is a great anniversary card. I actually made it for my sis-in-law to give to my brother on Valentines Day. I refused to use red. Wasn't in the mood for it. lol :) I think it actually has a softer feel to it w/ this color.

It was super simple. Just cut this image, silhouette only, and done! No piecing together a million cuts, which I don't have the patience for.  :)  I used my computer/printer for the saying.  She found the saying on Pinterest.

Another Silhouette Wedding Card

Here is another version of the silhouette wedding cards that I like to make.  Super simple but elegant and the receivers just love them.  :)  This can be used for wedding, anniversary or engagement.

One of the reasons I like doing the silhouette is because I don't like putting together all of the layers, especially in a time crunch.  :)

Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge - 3.65"

Wedding Card

My parents needed a wedding card made so this is the one I threw together.  I like the classiness of it and I love the colors.  :)  I only cut out the silhouette for my cut.  I didn't want to do all of the layers.  Keep things streamlined and simple.  The sentiment is from the My Pink Stampers Love-a-licious stamp set.   Enjoy!

This is an A2 size card.  The black is the base and it is cut at 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25".  The scarlet layer is cut at 5.25" x 4" and then the white layer is cut at 5" x 3.75".

Simple Monogram Cards

In the past month my brother has had two of his friends get married so he asked if I would make a wedding card for each of them.  Although he did give me some guidelines.  Well, one, which is 'Don't make it cutesy'.  LOL  Ah, I love boys, they crack me up.  So I decided to make a simple but elegant monogram card.  I used the monogram from the Tie the Knot Cricut cartridge.  It's my favorite monogram cut, especially for weddings.  The colors are also bright and not girly so I thought they might be OK.  I also used a striped Cuttlebug embossing folder for a contradicting look than the curly monogram.  My brother loved the cards.  Thought they were perfect.  :)  YAY!

Happy 50th Anniversary!

This was for a friends parents 50th Anniversary. I saw pics of them 50 years ago and they do look like the people that are in the heart. :) I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Sweet Something stamp set. I used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, and used it backwards. The silver paper is from the Metallic DCWV paper pack, the rest of the paper and the ribbon is PTI.
