I'd Choose You All Over Again...

I realized that I forgot to get this post together yesterday. :) This is a great anniversary card. I actually made it for my sis-in-law to give to my brother on Valentines Day. I refused to use red. Wasn't in the mood for it. lol :) I think it actually has a softer feel to it w/ this color.

It was super simple. Just cut this image, silhouette only, and done! No piecing together a million cuts, which I don't have the patience for.  :)  I used my computer/printer for the saying.  She found the saying on Pinterest.

Cameo Cookie Card, Again

Hello Bakers and Crafters!  WOW, this last month went by way too fast.  Last night I was getting ready to go to bed and it hit me that today was the first Friday of the month.  Shoot!  I was thinking it was next week.  And another shoot! came out because I realized that I didn't have anything for today's Cookie and Card Challenge.  :(  I did make a card off of one of her cookies over a year ago so I thought I would share that one w/ you today as most of you probably haven't seen it.  So Sorry I'm not more together!  I moved my craft room down to the basement this past week and my calender hasn't been put up yet.  Anywho, enough w/ the excuses and on to the card.

When I saw these cookies that Georganne made I knew I had to make them into a card:

You can see this cookie post HERE.  Isn't she just a fabulous designer?  LOVE her designs.  You can go to her blog HERE.  I remember making them thinking, these are going to be exactly like what she has.  Yeah, I accidentally mixed the colors up.  Still looks like them though, just not exact.  :)

HERE is the original post of this card.  I even made a video, one of my first so be nice.  :)  You can see it HERE.  To see what she made of mine go HERE.

Simply Crafts w/ Glora & Pam - Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Hi Crafters!  It's the first Wednesday of the month which means it's Simply Crafts w/ Glora & Pam day!  It is Glora's turn this month to choose the cut and she chose the gumball machine from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge.  This is the first time I've put together this cut.  I like the way it turned out.  I didn't have time to make a video so I'll do my best at explaining what I did.

I hid all of the dash lines on the main cut to make a solid background which is the light blue cardstock.  I pasted down the gumballs, pop dotted the heart and stamped my message on the blue cardstock.  The sentiment comes from the My Pink Stamper's new stamp set called Sweet Goodness.

I then cut out the same solid base again using clear acetate paper.  I glued down all of the top layers on that.  I then pop dotted that whole piece on top of the light blue cut.  Here is a side picture so you can see what I'm talking about.

The pattern paper on the machine and the gumballs were printed out w/ my Imagine using the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge.  I embossed the white cardstock using the Pajama Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder then put blue brads in the corners.

Now be sure to stop over at Glora's blog because you know she will have something amazing for you to see.  She goes above and beyond on her projects.  Thanks for stopping by!  :)

And another silhouette image.  LOL  I had 3 wedding cards and one engagement card to make this weekend so I went w/ the simplest idea and made them at the same time.

Another Silhouette Wedding Card

Here is another version of the silhouette wedding cards that I like to make.  Super simple but elegant and the receivers just love them.  :)  This can be used for wedding, anniversary or engagement.

One of the reasons I like doing the silhouette is because I don't like putting together all of the layers, especially in a time crunch.  :)

Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge - 3.65"

Wedding Card

My parents needed a wedding card made so this is the one I threw together.  I like the classiness of it and I love the colors.  :)  I only cut out the silhouette for my cut.  I didn't want to do all of the layers.  Keep things streamlined and simple.  The sentiment is from the My Pink Stampers Love-a-licious stamp set.   Enjoy!

This is an A2 size card.  The black is the base and it is cut at 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25".  The scarlet layer is cut at 5.25" x 4" and then the white layer is cut at 5" x 3.75".

Episode 50: Have a Mooningful Birthday!

It's my sisters birthday next week and I was trying to come up with something that is funny and special for her.  She isn't a girly girl and can have a weird and irreverent sense of humor sometimes.  :)  So my mom and I were going back and forth on ideas and she said in an offhand manner, make her a card where it's mooning at her.  Well, I took that and ran with it.  LOL

I also wanted to participate in Janis' fold card challenge so I was searching online for different type of fold cards and the Peek a Boo card just fit PERFECTLY with the type of card I want to make.  So here is my card and I go through how to make it in the video.

Oh my goodness, isn't it hilarious!  It seriously makes me laugh every time I see it.  She will love it.

Can't believe it's 50 videos already!  :)

James. Sterling James.

So it's my brothers birthday next week and I needed to come up w/ something for him.  How this card came about is that he had at least 3 people tell him while he was on his mission that he looked like a younger version of Daniel Craig 007.  He does have the same coloring, same shaped head and the same kind of eyes.  So anywho, for those that don't know, when the young men are on a mission they have to wear a suit so I'm sure that helped on the identity.  :D  So this is the card I came up with:

I printed the message w/ my computer (obviously).  ;)

Episode 8: Cameo Cookie Card

My cousin Georganne makes cookies and cakes and she is SO talented.  One day I saw this cookie and knew I had to make it into a card:

To see more of her creations click HERE to go to her blog.

So the card I made is pretty much the same, I just switched the color of the ribbon and the base color (accidentally mind you) but I think it turned out pretty good.  :)

**Disclaimer on the video:  I filmed it late at night and wasn't feeling well.  I repeated myself, often, and I couldn't think of the word cameo so I said broach**  :)  So w/ that, on to the video:

Have a Tree-Mendous Day!

While looking through my craft room I realize I have TONS of designer paper, ribbon, and embellishments and I don't use them! So, you'll be seeing a lot more designer paper on my cards and I'll be trying to add embellishments and ribbon as well. :)

This card is an A2 size card cut at 4.25" x 11", folded in half. So the card folds in half tallwise, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I have no idea what it is called. :)

The tree cut is from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. I didn't cut out the heart or the leaves. The solid cardstock and buttons are from PTI. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Offbeat 6x6 paper pad. I used the My Pink Stampers More Punny-licious stamp set for the sentiment. I used the polka dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug and then added some random ribbon I had on hand.

Here is a pic of the inside of my card:

Happy 50th Anniversary!

This was for a friends parents 50th Anniversary. I saw pics of them 50 years ago and they do look like the people that are in the heart. :) I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Sweet Something stamp set. I used the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, and used it backwards. The silver paper is from the Metallic DCWV paper pack, the rest of the paper and the ribbon is PTI.

Tweet! A Wedding Card

My friends daughter got married and this is the card I made for her and her husband. They are a fun young couple so I thought that this was fitting. The only thing I would change was to put a veil of some kind on the female bird.

I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge. Polka dot Cuttlebug folder. Rounded corners w/ my Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. Simply Chartreuse & Hibiscus Burst (pink) cardstock - PTI. Designer paper - k&i Memories Classic Prints & DCWV Flower Shower Spring paper packs. Basic white cardstock from Roberts Crafts.

Let me know if you have any questions.

YAY Summer!

Here is a card I made for my brother who is in Florida right now. The inside towels are a joke. The point of it was he is on bikes in Florida and when he went to an appointment he was so wet from the humidity and heat the lady offered him a towel. Too funny. :) (Ignore the handwriting on the inside, my handwriting is poo w/ this white pen)

The ice cream sundae is from the Sweet Treats cartridge. I cut off the candle because I didn't like the look of it. I used UTEE on the syrup cuts to make it look like actual syrup. Well, that was what I was going for anyways. The YAY SUMMER! stamp was made using a CTMH alphabet stamp set. There is no name on the package so I don't know which one. I like it though. :) The towel rack with towels is from the Sweethearts cartridge.

I used the hide contour feature A LOT on my Gypsy for this card. LOVE IT! It helps so I don't have to cut things that don't need to be cut. Definitely recommend this nice little tool.
