Non-Cricut Male Card

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for visiting my blog and quite a few of you signing up to follow my blog. It's all really surreal. Friday morning before my blog was announced by Robyn w/ My Pink Stamper I had 5 followers, 4 of whom I knew, now I have almost 50! Thank you so much for your kind comments as well. I hope that I can live up to the name of MPS Design Team member. ~ Thank You!!!!

I needed to make a quick card last night for my brother. I love the colors on it. I like the look of this ribbon for a male card. It's not a bow but it's not just a strip of ribbon either.

The dark grey base paper is called Smokey Shadow and the yellow is called Lemon Tart both from PTI. The ribbon is Lemon Tart satin from PTI as well. The designer paper is from two different pieces of paper from the My Minds Eye Spectrums Warm paper pack. The metal accents, well, I'm not really sure where I got them. I believe it's from Making Memories which I got from Scrapbooksteals.com. Which has daily deals.

Thanks for looking!

I like it a lot. I have such a hard time making masculine cards. Nice job.

Very simple and very elegant at the same time, at least that is what I get from it. I like the colors a lot too.

I agree with you on the counters...Thanks to Robyn all the way! :)

I applaud you for just trying a man card. I have found them to not be so easy. I really like what you did with the metal accents and the ribbon. XOXO, Julie. :0)

Really like this card. Making a card for a man can be quite challenging. Great job! Love the colors.
