FIF -Matchbox Challenge

For the Flaunt it Friday's challenge this week you need to make the matchbox cut in the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge.  OK, this one took a little thinking and researching on my part.  The cut is found on page 124 of the guide (button 43 on the overlay).  When I put it on my Gypsy it wasn't making any sense.  The main image and the shift image are pretty much the same.  It is the inside box cut.  I couldn't figure out how to do the cover for the box.  So I decided to google it (Thank you Google!) and by watching THIS video it shows that the cover is actually on page 123 of the guide (button 42 on the overlay).  So the two buttons go together.  OK, now it makes sense.  Whew!  I didn't make a video for this project since the video I watched covered it for me.  :)   I cut both images at 5".

Now head on over to the Flaunt it Friday's blog to submit your project to be eligible for the monthly prize.

Don't you love how the Cricut manual doesn't tell you that you need both cuts to make it? Thankfully they have gotten a little smarter on how they do the manuals now. Yes, thank you GOOGLE. You box turned out ADORABLE. I love that patterned paper! Hugs- Glora

Thank you SO much for this post. I didn't watch the video as your instructions were perfect. I was so frustrated but then you saved the day! I was able to make some of these little matchboxes (and posted them on my blog today). Yours turned out wonderfully! I love the cheerful colours you chose and the band looks fabulous with its scalloped edges.
Thanks again!!
