MPS - Family 'Male Birthday Card'

I decided to make a male card for my project. I know a lot of us, especially me, have a hard time w/ male cards. We can't help but add ribbon, flowers and bling! :D This is a birthday card for my Uncle. He loves to read so I wanted to incorporate that by making some antique looking books. The book cuts are cut at 3" and it is from the Paper Dolls for Everyday cartridge. It is located on p. 46, accessory 3 (shift) w/ the graduate cut. I cut the book out 8 different times. 1 cut for each book color and 4 times in the tan color for the pages at the top of the book. If you have the Gypsy or DS you can move the 4 books to the edge of your digital mat so it only cuts out the pages portion of the design so you waste less paper. I also chalked the pages in dark brown so the dark brown chalk could get in the creases of the cut to make it look more antique. I also inked the edges of the creme paper to help with the antique look.

The base Dark Chocolate paper and ribbon is from PTI. The creme paper is basic Roberts cardstock. The paper for the burgundy, blue and brown books are from the Paper Studio paper kit called Traditions. The green paper used on the green book is from the We R Memory Keepers Coppered Out paper kit.

And last but Definitely not least, the stamp is from the My Pink Stampers Family & Friends stamp set. Love them!

~Thanks for looking!

Pam, I love this! I'm always on the look-out for great 'guy' card ideas. I really like that you were able to incorporate a little ribbon and still keep it masculine looking. Great job!!

Well... books are very important for get the knowledge and upto date in life. This is very good habit to read the books. Books gives confidence and open new ways of thinking. I also try to read books but busy enough in Assignment Help office but i read day by day.
