Christmas Oyster Crackers

These are the goodies that we gave our neighbors this year.  They are oyster crackers that have been seasoned.  They are good on a salad, in soup, and to just munch on.  I've listed the recipe below as well.  The box I got from Target at last years after Christmas sale.  They were only $1.  I also made a 3 1/2 x 5" nativity card to attach to the box.

Recipe:
Nabisco Oyster Crackers - 24 oz.  This comes out to be about 2 1/2 bags
1 cup Wesson Oil
1 tsp dill weed
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 pkg Hidden Valley Buttermilk style ranch dressing (dry powder)

Mix oil with dry ingredients and pour over crackers, tossing as you pour.  Toss gently 4-5 times in the next 30 minutes.

I double my recipe and put in 5 packages of crackers in a very large salad bowl when I make them.  I did this 4 times and it made 10 of these boxes.  I put the crackers in a gallon ziploc bag.

There are cheaper crackers but we have found that they do not absorb the ingredients as well so we buy the Nabisco crackers.  Little more expensive but worth it.

**Disclosure.  I am not a fan of these crackers because I do not like Ranch dressing BUT everyone we give them to and everyone else in my family LOVES them.**  ;)

~ Thanks for looking!

Too funny. My husband isn't a ranch fan either, but my oldest daughter would LOVE these! TFS!
