Winter Friends

Happy Tuesday!  This week over at Creative Critterz Imagination we are welcoming winter w/ our design team projects.  I made a card using the Snow Angel cartridge.  It has some adorable images on there.  I decided to go w/ the ornament that has the two little snowmen inside it.  I enlarged the ornament so the main snowmen image would be the center piece of my card.  The ornament and layers are sized at 8.8".  The blue snowflake paper in the background is also from this cartridge.  It is such a gorgeous blue.  The picture doesn't do it justice.

I added diamond stickles in each of the white loops around the image.  I also added a small row of diamond stickles all around the edge of the white part of the card to highlight it.  I like it, it's something new.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Celebration and Giveaway

Hi Crafters and Friends!  I wanted to celebrate two things today.  My blog has been up and going for 2 years now (as of a couple weeks ago) and I've reached 900 followers!  I think that is SO amazing.  So one lucky winner will get the chance to win the following two things.

Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridge - I love this one because it has cuts for all year round.  You can even use some of the cuts for boys.  I swear.  :)  Anyway, it's one of my faves.

The next is the Friend-tastic My Pink Stamper stamp.  I really like this stamp set but I just LOVE the My Pink Stamper stamps.  It stamps great and has some fabulous sayings.  I use them for almost all my projects.

Rules of the giveaway:
 - Since this is a celebration due to my followers you need to be a follower to win.
 - Leave ONE comment on this post no later than Tuesday Nov 22nd, 10pm MST
 - Let me know what's your favorite thing to craft (style, product, etc) or let me know of something you'd like to see on my blog.

I have something HUGE planned for when I hit 1000 so pass the word on to your friends.  :)

Again, thanks SOOOO much for following my blog and leaving me comments.  I thrive on your comments.  :)  You're the best!

Thanksgiving Table Decorations

Happy Tuesday!  For my Creative Critterz Imaginations design team post we are asked to make Thanksgiving table decorations.  I decided to do a table setting.  What I ended up doing is REALLY simple.  I used Create a Critter for the leaves and the Heirloom Imagine cartridge for the patterns.  This year there are only 4 of us that will be at Thanksgiving dinner so I wanted to do something a little special.

Here is what the setting looks like:

For some reason the middle leaf is coming off orange in the pictures.  It's actually more of a maroon color in real life.  :)

Here is a look down at the plate.  The brown and green leaf is cut at 7", the maroon one is cut at 5.5".  I cut a band w/ the maroon paper and put it around my silverware and then wrapped some linen thread around that w/ a green leaf cut at 1.5" to hang from it.

This name plate is cut at 4" x 3" and scored at 1.5".  The brown leaf is cut at 1.5" and the maroon one cut at 1.1".

I wanted to do something that decorated the cup so I wrapped the linen thread around it and hung a brown and maroon leaf from it.  The brown leaf is cut at 2.5" and the maroon one is cut at 2".  To keep the thread in place I placed a glue dot on the cup first then wrapped the thread around it.  The glue dot should come off easily.

Thanks for stopping by!  Remember I will be having a giveaway that I will be doing later this week on my blog.  Be sure to stop by.

Episode 97: Simple Thanksgiving Card

Hi Crafters.  I had made this large turkey cut for a table decoration but decided not to use it but I didn't want to waste it so I used it on a tall card.  A tall card is 8" x 9" and scored at 4".  This type of card fits in a business envelope.

To make my turkey I used the Cricut Craft Room (CCR).  I can't tell you how much I LOVE this program.  Yes, it has it's kinks but it is so useful.  Especially w/ the Imagine.  All I did was add my layers for the turkey to my mat in CCR, flood filled each layer w/ a color.  Then I layered the images to where it is only one image and then color and cut.  Hopefully that makes sense.  :)

Also for some great news.  I am now at 900 followers!  I also had my 2 year blog-aversary in the last couple of weeks so I want to celebrate those two great things.  Look out for my blog later this week.  I'll have some blog candy giveaway.

Somewhat of a Layout

Happy Tuesday crafters!  I first want to apologize for this project.  I am not a scrapbooker.  I really have a hard time making scrapbook pages.  Anywho...  Here is my Creative Critters Imaginations design team project.

I used only two cartridges for this page.  I used the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for the scalloped square, scalloped circles and the butterfly border.   The designer paper and solid colors are from the Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge.  The page is all one layer.  I used the Cricut Craft Room.  W/ this latest CCR update I am now able to cut.  Woo Hoo!  Can you say I am so excited!  :)  Love it.

I added some stickles and paper flowers to finish it off.  Make sure you check out yesterdays Creative Critters Imagination post and the rest of this week for some real amazing scrapbook pages.  :)

Episode 94: Happy Fall!

Happy Tuesday crafters and friends!  I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.  For my Creative Critters Imagination design team blog post we are to make a Fall project.  I made a card of course.  :)  All of the designer paper and the cuts came from the Enjoy the Seasons Imagine cartridge.

This is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love Fall colors.  I usually wear the darker colors; dark blues, maroons, greens, and browns.  Those colors are the ones I am most drawn to and find so pretty.  Anywho, enjoy!
