Love Card

Happy Monday Crafters!  Today I'm continuing the Valentine's Day theme projects for the Creative Critterz Imagination blog.  I saw this cute love design on the B is for Boy cartridge.  It was a totally unexpected find on a boy cartridge.  :)  The O was originally on the design.  I just hid it and put a heart from the Designers Calendar in it's place.  The colors and the striped design paper are from the Buccaneer Imagine cartridge.  I love the dark color of red on this cartridge.  My fave!

Here is the front:

Here is the side view.  The cream layer w/ the word LOVE is popped up.  I then popped up the heart as well.

Here is the inside of the card.  I like to do layering on the inside as well to add an extra touch.  I also cut out a small heart for that extra cuteness.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  I have a new project and challenge this Wednesday, be sure to stop by then.  :)

Bright Treat Box

Hi Crafters!  I made a treat box for a lady in my church, it was her birthday.  I filled it w/ Hershey's Golden Nuggets w/ Almonds and another bag of Hershey's Golden Nuggets w/ Almonds & Toffee.  YUM.  It was so hard not to snack but I promised myself no candy!  :)

This box is from the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut cartridge and is cut at 11".  I flood filled it from designer paper from the All Wrapped Up Imagine cartridge.  I love the bright colors on this.  After filling it w/ candy I tied it off w/ white ribbon.  I love how it turned out.  In fact I made two of these.  Well, because of a specific reason.  You'll see...

Here is the full finished box.  Don't you love it?  :)

Here is a pic of the candy in the box.  I fit about 1 1/2 bags of chocolate in there.

Top of the box w/ the tag:

The reason why I had to make two:

Yeah, Kyla jumped up on my desk knocked the box off of the table to the floor.  Then Tavis and Kyla went to town tearing off the lid and ate a 1/4 of the candy that was in there.  Luckily no reaction to the chocolate.  Stinkers.

I have two projects for you next week so be sure to stop by then.  BTW, I am making progress on my final project for school.  Woo Hoo!  :)

Missionary Card

This card I made was really simple.  It's for a young man in my church that is headed off on his 2 year church mission to Lubbock, Texas.  I used the new Missionary Icons digital cartridge, exclusive through Cricut Craft Room.  I cut it out at 3.5" w/ all of the layers.  I flood filled the tie and the background paper from the Heirloom Imagine cartridge.  After I took the picture I wrote ELDER in white gel ink on the name tag.  It looked better, looked finished.  Anywho, enjoy!

Episode 105: Snowman Card and CCR Sizing Tutorial

Hi Crafters and Friends!  For this weeks Creative Critterz Imaginations blog post we are asked to use the Cricut Craft Room with our Imagines.  I LOVE using the CCR and my Imagine.  I now use my Imagine more than my Cricut Expression 2.  Which is shocking.  :)  Anywho, it's a lot of fun and the screen is a lot larger to play with.  One thing I had a real hard time with in the beginning is the sizing of the images.  I couldn't get my main images and my layers be the same size.  It was really frustrating.  I finally figured it out and made a little video explaining how to do it.  **Side note, it's my first time recording my screen, sorry it's not the best.  :) **

Here is my finished card:

Now remember today is the last day to submit an Imagine project to be on the CCI team.  I hope that everyone that has an Imagine and has the time signs up.  It's a lot of fun and it'll make you use your Imagine more.  :)

I'm also going to submit this card to my cousin's cookie blog, Lila Loa.  She is having a link up party right now.  Create a project using a snowman and share it w/ her on her blog.  Super fun.  :)  And her snowman cookies are ADORABLE!!!

It's That Time of Year...

OK, Christmas has come and gone, New Years was a blast, and the family has left.  You're thinking 'ahhh, a little relaxing time'.  Nope!  It's time to write your thank you notes!  I know, sigh, but make it simple and it'll be fast and painless.  :)  Here is a simple thank you card that I made using the Nursery Tails cartridge.

This card is a 3.5" x 5" sized card.  Perfect size for a Thank You card.  The tree is sized at 5.25".  Then I cut out the bird 3 more times for accents.  One on the tree:

Once on the inside (which I flipped so it was facing the opposite direction):

And one for the outside of the envelope:

Easy!  Have fun making your Thank You cards this week!  :)

Also...  Do you have an Imagine and love making projects?  Be sure to stop by the Creative Critterz Imaginations blog tomorrow for some great news!
