Episode 32: FIF Puppy/Cat Magnet Board

This weeks Flaunt it Friday's challenge is to use the Paper Pups border that has the dog and cat looking at each other (I think p. 104 in the handbook).  You need to use this cut or something similar to the cut in a paper project and submit it by Thursday, Feb 3rd to be eligible for the monthly prize.

I made a project this week that wasn't a card.  I know *GASP*!!!  ;)  I made a magnet board from scratch.  I show how I did it in the video.  It was a lot of fun to make and I love the look of it.  I'm definitely making myself one soon.

The Paper Pups cut is a silhouette.  So to make the back layer I hid the inside of the dog and cat w/ my Gypsy and then cut out the image once again.  I made the magnets with my I-Top.  And they are some strong magnets too!

PDE Challenge #2

This is for Janis' 2nd challenge on her blog Pause Dream Enjoy. The challenge is to make a bookmark. My friends birthday was last week and we are celebrating it this Saturday and she loves to read. She has a wiener dog and a cat. Have no clue on what kind but it's orange. :) So I thought I would give these to her as part of her gift. The puppy is from the Paper Pups cartridge and the cat is from the Create a Critter cartridge. The designer paper that is on the puppy bookmark is from the Basic Grey Max & Whiskers collection the paper for the cat bookmark is from the K&I Memories Sweet Life Photo Mat Pad. I added Stickles to the cat's bow and the puppies collar.

Huntin' for a Birthday...

This card was for my nephews Primary teacher. He is an avid hunter. Thought it turned out well. The cut is from the Paper Pups cartridge. I cute the image out a few times. One in the dark brown for the outline and one in blackout. I also cut the outline one in black and grey and then just cut those pieces for the gun and glued it on my original dog image. Hopefully that made some sense. :) The sentiment I printed w/ my printer. The paper is from PTI. Not sure where I got the ribbon but I love it. Perfect for outdoorsy cards.

Thanks for looking! If you have any questions let me know.

Puppy Spa Day

So I came across this other card making blog and am now in love. Seriously. I totally love the way she makes her cards. I contacted her and got permission to scrap lift one of her cards. You definitely need to see her blog. It is the first one in my list to the left called A Place for My Cards. You can go directly to the post of the Puppy Spa Day card on her blog by going here. Yes I know that mine is EXACTLY the same as hers. I wanted to follow her steps exactly so I can see how she makes her cards. That way I can apply the same technique to my cards. Thanks Jeannie!!!
