Simply Crafts Challenge - More Chicken Please

Hi Crafters! Today is the first Wednesday of the month which means that it is time for the Simply Crafts Challenge with Glora and I.  The cut that has been chosen for this challenge is the turkey cut from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge. Here is my project:

I was going to make a video for this one but I'm still sick and didn't want to have sneezing, coughing, stuffy sounding and blowing my nose on video.  ;)  Also, I feel like I've seen a few of this style of project but not sure where.  So if you have done this type of project and I've seen it, thanks for the inspiration.  Sorry I can't give kudos to you.  You can link your blog in the comments section if you have.

There is a giveaway for this challenge.  Details are on the challenge blog HERE.  Also, make sure you stop by Glora's blog to see her project and how she made it. She seriously is the best crafter out there.  Makes projects so detailed and fun.  I don't know how she does it all w/ her busy life.  I'm jealous, as always.  ;)

Happy Birthday & Retirement

Hi crafters!  Todays card I made for a friend of my dads.  They celebrated his 60th birthday and his retirement from the National Guard.  My dad came up with this design.  He wanted one foot in the grave and his other foot on a banana peel.  Thought that was pretty funny.  :)

To make the darker lines on the clothes and hair I used the Versamark pen.  Love that little tool.  :)  I hand cut the grass and dirt.
Sizes:
A2 Size Card
Simply Charmed Grave - 2.8"

Multi-Tie Card

Hi Crafters!  Todays card was made for a missionary but it could definitely be used for a Father's Day card.

A young man in my church is going on a 2 year mission for our church.  He is going to South Africa Johannesburg.  How cool is that?  I have a DCWV Safari paper pack so I chose designer paper from there to make my ties.  The paper also has a material feel to it.  Love it!

The tie cut came from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.  Sized at 3.5".  This really is a super simple card to make and you can definitely customize it towards whoever you give it to.

 Here is the inside:

Too Cute To Spook!

Happy Tuesday!  For my Creative Critterz Imaginations design team post we are making Halloween Cards.  So for my card today I wanted to do something different than I normally do.  I usually make A2 size cards so I decided to make a circle card.  It's still simple but that's me.  :)  The circle card is sized at 5" and it was from a kit that I already had so I just pulled it out and decorated it.  Easy.  My first designer paper circle is cut at 4.7" and is from the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge.  My next paper is cut at 4" and is also from the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine paper.

Today is the last day to submit your project over at the Simply Crafts challenge blog.

Card Recipe:
Bubblegum Stripes Imagine Cartridge
Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge - Ghost 3.5"
Pop-Up Neighborhood Cricut Cartridge - Sign 2.2"
Black & Orange Twine
Bling
5" Circle stock card from a kit
SU! Only Orange and Chocolate Chip markers

Yummy Birthday Card

This is the card that I made for my mom's birthday.  My mom loves fudgesicles.  Of course, I couldn't make a fudgesicle on a card, I'd be afraid of how it would look so I opted to make it more rainbow colored.  LOL  :)

This cut is from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge and I cut it out at 4.5".  I hid the face on the ice cream part and it is cut out twice to make it thicker.  I used my Berries & Cream Imagine cartridge for the ice cream paper.  I also added glossy accents to the popsicle to make it look wet.

Card Recipe:
Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge - 4.5"
Berries & Cream Imagine Cartridge
PTI - Simply Chartreuse, Harvest Gold, White, and Kraft cardstock
Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery
Glossy Accents

Birthday Presents!

I first want to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!"  I'll be posting her card next week.  I want to make sure she gets it first since I know she checks my blog.  :)

This card I made for a friend of mines birthday.  The presents were cut from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge and are two separate cuts.  I welded their shadows together on my Gypsy then layered their cuts to go one on top of each other.  One present is directly down on the shadow and the 2nd present is pop dotted off for more dimension.

I used two different stamps from the My Pink Stampers Spectacular Sayings stamp set for my sentiment.

On to the card....  Enjoy!

Bubblegum Stripes Imagine Cartridge

Good Luck Missionary

Here is a card I made for a young man in my church that is heading out on his mission for two years.  I can't remember where he is going but I know it's in the states so that is why I chose to do more of a red/white/blue theme.  This image is cut from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.  I cut out everything but the face.  I love the Simply Charmed cartridge but not a fan of everything having a face on it.  Luckily I have my Gypsy to hide those cuts.  :)

The designer paper for the tie came from my Imagine.  I used the Heirloom Imagine cartridge and printed off a sheet of that paper.  I then used that in my Expression to cut out the image.  The reason I did this is because I wanted to tilt the top knot at an angle so it looks like the tie is actually "tied".  If that makes any sense.  :)  I hand cut out the badge.

The card is an A2 size card, the red layer is 4" x 5.25" and the Simply Charmed shirt/tie cut is at 5".

Imagine Heirloom cartridge

PTI - White, Pure Poppy, True Black and Blueberry Sky cardstock
