Episode 116: Goldfish Birthday Card

Here is a funny card I made for my mom.  I am known as having the WORST memory in my family.  I'm the worst.  I have to write everything down and check mark it done.  So I say that I have Goldfish brain, can't remember anything past 30 seconds.  lol  Anywho, my moms memory isn't the best either so I came up w/ this design:

Here is the inside and why it's funny.  I repeated the design like I forgot what I put on the front.  :)

Goldfish came from the ANIMAL KINGDOM cartridge NOT Create a Critter.  Guess this proves what is on the card.  lol  :)

Happy Birthday & Retirement

Hi crafters!  Todays card I made for a friend of my dads.  They celebrated his 60th birthday and his retirement from the National Guard.  My dad came up with this design.  He wanted one foot in the grave and his other foot on a banana peel.  Thought that was pretty funny.  :)

To make the darker lines on the clothes and hair I used the Versamark pen.  Love that little tool.  :)  I hand cut the grass and dirt.

Episode 115: Generic Birthday Card

Happy Monday crafters!  I'm excited to say that I am trying to be more dedicated to my blog.  I have neglected it for the last few months and feel terrible about that.  So I already have two projects and videos scheduled for this week and will work on another for Friday.

Also, my birthday is coming up in a few weeks so I plan on doing something fun for that week as well as provide some giveaways.  My goal is to also see if I can get to 1000 followers by then so get the word out!  I'll have an AMAZING giveaway if I get to a 1000 followers by then.

On to todays card.  This is the card I made for my dads birthday.  I used darker colors for the candles which made it more masculine.  This could easily be made for a girl by changing the papers to pinks and purples.  :)

Episode 114: Happy Fathers Day Dad!

Happy Fathers Day!  I was going to post this on Friday but didn't want my Dad to see it just in case.

This is the card I made for my dad.  He was a helicopter pilot and did 2 tours in the Vietnam war.  The helicopter cut came from the Beep Beep Cricut cartridge.  I had two changes I wish I had made.  I which I made the main cut the dark green color instead of black and I wish I would have done the window a light blue. But hind sight and all and I wasn't going to redo it.  :)

Multi-Tie Card

Hi Crafters!  Todays card was made for a missionary but it could definitely be used for a Father's Day card.

A young man in my church is going on a 2 year mission for our church.  He is going to South Africa Johannesburg.  How cool is that?  I have a DCWV Safari paper pack so I chose designer paper from there to make my ties.  The paper also has a material feel to it.  Love it!

The tie cut came from the Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.  Sized at 3.5".  This really is a super simple card to make and you can definitely customize it towards whoever you give it to.

Episode 113: Wedding Ring Card

Happy Monday crafters!  Well, I thought I could get 3 cards in last week.  Guess 2 is better than none though.  :)  I'll try harder this week, at least I'll try my best.

This card is made for my cousins wedding shower.  I think it might be too wedding instead of wedding shower but oh well.  It's a simple design but that's my style.  :)

Hey, I made a video!  :)

Episode 112: Congrats 25 lbs Down!

Hi Crafters!  Wow, two posts so far this week.  It's a record.  :)  Today is the first Wednesday of the month which means it's time for the Simply Crafts challenge.  Love this challenge.  It started with just Glora and I and now we have expanded it to let everyone participate.  Fun!  So make sure you head on over to our challenge blog - Simply Crafts Challenge.

The cut that we have decided on is the rounded star cut that is on the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge.  This is what page/button it's on:

If you don't have that cartridge any rounded star cut will do.

So let me tell you a little bit about my card.  I love my weight loss program so much that I decided on being a Health Coach for the program.  So what that means is that I'm helping others lose weight on the same program that I am on.  So a few of my clients are getting ready to hit the 25 lbs loss mark.  Woo Hoo!  So I wanted to send them a card to congratulate them on that loss.  Everyone needs to celebrate that right?  I totally agree.  :)  So here is the card that I made:

The large star in on an Action Wobble so it's interactive.  This image is what it looks like on the back of the card.  That's right, the back, not the inside.  This card I made to be an announcement and not a traditional card.  You can see more on the video I made.
Side view:

I saw Glora's card and it is TOO CUTE!!!  Seriously, she just amazes me w/ her creativity.  Check out her card on her blog HERE or at the Simply Crafts Challenge.  To participate in the Simply Crafts challenge go HERE.

To find more information on the weight loss program that I am on go HERE or click on the 'A New Me' tab at the top.

Historical Boys Birthday Card

Happy Monday Crafters!  Before I get to my card I wanted to share that I'm down 65 lbs down now.  Woo Hoo!  :)  I've also uploaded a new photo to the 'A New Me' tab above.

This card is a birthday card I made for my nephew.  Besides sports he absolutely loves history.  I searched on the Silhouette site, Lettering Delights, for anything that has to deal w/ family crests.  I thought that would be a fun item to have on the card.  I printed it off w/ my computer and just hand cut it as it is a simple cut.  :)

You can go HERE to find out more information on the image.  The stamp sentiment came from Scrappy Moms Simple Sentiments stamp set.

I will have a project to share on Wednesday and Friday of this week.  Sorry I've been so hit and miss lately.  It's just been crazy at my house.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cameo Cookie Card, Again

Hello Bakers and Crafters!  WOW, this last month went by way too fast.  Last night I was getting ready to go to bed and it hit me that today was the first Friday of the month.  Shoot!  I was thinking it was next week.  And another shoot! came out because I realized that I didn't have anything for today's Cookie and Card Challenge.  :(  I did make a card off of one of her cookies over a year ago so I thought I would share that one w/ you today as most of you probably haven't seen it.  So Sorry I'm not more together!  I moved my craft room down to the basement this past week and my calender hasn't been put up yet.  Anywho, enough w/ the excuses and on to the card.

When I saw these cookies that Georganne made I knew I had to make them into a card:

You can see this cookie post HERE.  Isn't she just a fabulous designer?  LOVE her designs.  You can go to her blog HERE.  I remember making them thinking, these are going to be exactly like what she has.  Yeah, I accidentally mixed the colors up.  Still looks like them though, just not exact.  :)

HERE is the original post of this card.  I even made a video, one of my first so be nice.  :)  You can see it HERE.  To see what she made of mine go HERE.
